Gerd nods "Your dad knows what he's talking about"

CJ nods and quotes his sister, who he is sure made up the saying "It is known."

"It is knooowwwwwwnnnn."

Gerd gives a very trollish chortle, which is to say soft and short but sincere

The house is rebuilt, the magic restored, and happy endings... well, ever a work of progress, but it looks good. CJ claps, then yawns

"I think it might be someone's bedtime..."

"Nu uh" CJ says brow knitting

Gerd nods, then says "Course not..." A soothing voice, "You're just resting your eyes so they'll be sharp sharp sharp... you're letting the close so you'll be ready ready ready... " There is a cadence to her voice

CJ does rest his eyes and nods "Yup..sharp sharp.." yawn "Ready"

Sister scoops up Brother in her arms, easily lifting him.

Gerd keeps up the crooning, less words, more cadence. THe boy says "I'm fine.." Yawn "Just getting ready..." But he dosn't bother to open his eyes as his sister makes him feel like he's floating on a big blue cloud

She sneaks a quick smile at Gerd, as she carried CJ up to his bedroom.

Gerd smiles back, and soon, CJ is snoozing on his bed, butter wiped off his face.

All tucked in!

When Dagmar returns, Gerd says "He's a hoot. He always get protective of Bruno at the end there?"

"He's SO protective - not just Bruno, but all the cartoons, I swear."

"Is... is it bad that I really hope he's a troll, too?"

"Course not" She says "You want to be able to share your life with your family, ALL of your life. " Gerd says with a wisdom beyond her years "You think Vegard, my past life, wasn't delighted to have Vali be a troll? No right of ignorance between them. Common Kith understanding. You KNOW You're going to love him if he's not a troll, kinain or other kith or whatever... but no shame in hoping you can relate to him and he to you in a personal way"

"He's so little, he can spot chimera. I think kids grow out of that, older."

"And two parents, he might change younger. Younger than me, for sure."

A pause, considering. "Could be I have a fae parent, I suppose. Sperm donor."

"They often do grow out of it, but don't panic, sometime it is just the changeling soul gathering it's power to make the big leap later" SHe assures

"He sees Snow most often, more than anything."

"That poor monkey" A joke

"And, well, she's a hoot and pretty harmless to anything that's not a pie."

"Sorry, just... she's probably sure he's food is for her, if it is a fruit"

"And of course, he shares."

"He's a good kid. I've babysat him once or twice, but not as much as other kids ... probably because of his big sister looking out for him" Gerd nods knowingly

"Oh, dude, you are Tove's favorite babysitter."

"Something to be said for a babysitter who can fly up and get a kid out a tree. Oh yeah, your brother climbed a tree two weeks ago. At his age. Did you know that?"

And she relates the tale
