Piper fidgets, her expression clearly an unhappy one.

Siv moves to Piper "Piper, I'm asking for both of your thoughts on this. If it will work?"

"I don't like it. I know it's safer... but it feel like we're letting them win by scaring us out of our HOME. And even if we are safe here, what about the rest of our friends at the apartments? Who is to say that someone won't still come looking for you and they'll fall into the crossfire?"

"Okay. If you prefer... we can stay at the apartments I just.. I think Mom would feel better and I admit that might blind me" Siv says. "I do want us safe, but... ti's true that patrols are increased near the apatments now"

Piper looks to Jonas for his input.

"What's the story behind this Highfeather, anyways? WHY is she after you? If it's something that you did for your boss, like spy stuff... shouldn't he be stepping in to help route out the rot?"

Jonas mmms "I see pros and coins." Which is no help

Siv says "Right right.. way back, my father was...well, for a time, captured and hunted by this psycho Leanhaun. I won't go into details because, truth? I never learned them all. They... hunted him ..for sport. I know that. And he... had to fight in ways... well, it was horrible" Siv saays "But of course, he got free, and there's been some bad blood from the fall out. All my life, Leanhaun with peacock motiffs have been at the source of a lot of trouble. This appears to be the next round of it. "

"Your father. YOUR Father? Sir Frank?" She looks astonished. "I can't imagine...."

"It's hard to. Dad had to live like an animal for a time" Siv nods "It... it haunts him still. And I don't know a third of the whole thing I suspect. "

"I've only known one Leanhaun personally, a satyr affiliate of the house... she was good people herself... but some of what she hinted that the more... extremist Sidhe members of the house resorted to, or reveled in... I have no doubt that they're not the type to associate with on a whole."

She shakes her head. "I'm sorry to hear that your dad went through this. Even if it wasn't something that was coming to bite us personally.

Jonas frowns at this "Your father must have hurt them back for this? Yes?"

"Complicated, but oh aye. They bit off more than they could chew with him" Siv nods

"He's a tough bite, all right."

"Indeed, Da thinks this is HIS fight and I.. brought him up a bit short. " A sigh "Seems any argument I have with my folks pricks them wrong. My own fault really. I wanted them to open up to me. So I can't bitch when they don't feel what i hoped they'd feel"

"You can be a bit ...slipshod with others when you feel in the right, Siv" Jonas says, meaning it kindly

Siv makes a face at him "Family trait"

"Do you think that your plan to bled her resources dry will stop her? I worry that she'll just get madder, or more inventive..."

"I've had a few holes in the plan pop up. " She admits "But I think it will at least cripple her efforts"

Piper chews at her lip, then, "I just worry that this effort - not to belittle what you're going to do - won't be enough. What then? We stay at the lake house? We have to move somewhere else? A new home, a new... city, state? It feels like running."

"...I did enough running from my past, and now I have something, some ONES I want to hold onto, and I don't want to give up even an INCH of our lives to some... evil bully."

"Okay, then we go to the apartment and stay there. Hold our ground" Siv says with effort. She... dealt with fear before becoming a Fiona. She can deal with it now "And, I think we've hit a situation of don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Just because this might not work, doesn't mean I shouldn't try, aye?"

"Of course not! And, Siv..." She allows, resting a hand on her love's arm. "Let's stay at the lake house for a bit. The weather is so lovely - it can be a nice vacation. That's not running. That's... being sensible and allowing some time for you to work your... work. Maybe, a week?"

Siv seems to decomprees a bit then admits "Well, I do like access for the Narwhal,.. I get funny looks when I try to put it in the apartment pool"

A hand covers her snicker. "Remember when you did the emergency landing and swamped Leyla when she was sunbathing?"

'Bah, what's the point of being by the water if you're never gotta get in it anyway?" Siv scoffs, but also smiles

Jonas hides a smile

"She seems to be appeased, by the way. The rug wasn't salvageable, but the coach bag and matching hat seem to have done the trick."

"Yeah, you've got better taste than her anyway"

"Well, obviously." She leans over to kiss Jonas on the cheek.

Jonas returns the kiss and ..thinking about her taste being praised and that, blushes lightly

"awww" Siv smiles

"Thanks for understanding, Siv, I know the troll protection urge must be strong."

"You've NO idea " Siv admits "Well, maybe you do." A breath "Now, onto more important matters. How did the check up go the other day? "

A smile at Siv! "They listened to the heartbeats, and did some measurements... oh, and this is for you..." She offers to Siv, it's a small black and white ultrasound printout. "Since Jonas was there to see, but you couldn't come with us..."

It's blurry, but clearly, two bright blotches labeled 'A' and 'B' on the dark background.

"Wow" Siv says , her eyes filled with wonder as she looks at the blotches "Well, hello A and hello B. "

Piper touches her clearly rounded stomach, more than just a "I ate a burrito for lunch!" bump by now. "Right? It's starting to feel more... real, you know?"

"It is real" Jonas says putting a hand to Piper's waist "It is real, and wonderful, and amazing"

Siv beams at this "Too soon to think over some more names? "

Jonas blushes "Did we ever stop? "

She giggles.

Siv smiles "Vali says he'll give a hundred dollars if we name one of them Gilligan"

A snort cough!

But then a thoughtful look.

"No" Jonas says to both of them "Absolutely not"

"He was a 'mighty sailing man'" Siv points out but she is not serious, just baiting the bear a bit

"Do we even know the name of the Skipper? I mean, he can't have just been named 'Skipper'" She gives Siv a grin at Jonas's fuss.

"Brave and Sure, sounds like a fine namesake."

"We're not labeling the child with whatever silly name the 'skipper' had" Jonas says

Siv pulls out her phone and types, then her eyes bug out
