The eshu whines "Maybe we can bargain?"

"I don't think Siv, or Rikki owe a bargain to someone who tries to murder a fae then begs for his own life under the Escheat. That's dirty pool."

"You made me bleed my own blood, and for what?" Rikki says "SO I could mess up some bitch's rug?"

"For the assassination contract on Siv," the Eshu manages "Look, she's made enemies" He blurts

"Which ones?" Siv asks

"Please, " the pooka scoffs "This guy is a skidmark.. he probably is ohne of those goons who has no idea who employed him"

"Isn't that right?" Rikki ssmirks "You didn't get the right target... and got your ass handed to you. You don't even know who is paying do you?"

The Eshu snaps from under the bear "I thought you were the Lady Captain in disguise. The Lady Highfeather told me she could change shape and despite her own attempt at a disguise I figured out it was her. I always know where the money is coming from, and I'll tell you another thing"

Siv stops "Highfeather? Did.. she have a peacock feather design anywhere?"

"Ear rings" The Eshu says "Now I..." And his eyes widen "Shit." A glare at the pooka who got him talking "You ring tailed bitch, she'll have me killed" He does not mean Siv

"My heart bleeds for you." Piper says, dryly.

Siv says "aww poor you. YOu tried to kill me. I'm flattered. You threatened my lady. I should kill you chimerically then wait for you to remember yourself then do it again and again" Her eyes darken "Sadly, the code of Dagda means somewhat to me. I'm going to take you to the Baron of Teaneck for interrogation. If you spill ALL you know, you might find him asking for clemency on your behalf though I doubtt it. See, the lady who really gets to decide your fate? That's my mother. You tried to murder a kithain on HER land. Her daughter aside, she'd want your ass nailed to a wawll for any of us. "

"Siv, do you need to take all of him with you? I think Rikki earned at least a pinky for her trouble."

"I even have the shears to collect with" Rikki says "Snip snip"

"How's this for a compromise?" Siv asks, and yanks some ahir from the Eshu's head who cries out. THen she hands it over to Rikki "If he gets loose? Have fun."

Rikki takes it and nods

"You're a peach, Rik. I'd go for at least a left nut if he gutted me like a thanksgiving turkey without even buying a drink first." Piper scowls at the man. "You're LUCKY she's reasonable."

Rikki says "That's me. Angel"

Siv says "Well, Jonas... if you'll get off him, I'll drag his sorry ass to the Baron. Rikki..." Siv takes a breath "I'm sorry you got hurt because someone was after me. For all my grumbles, you've been a true friend to Piper and ye did not deserve nearly dying for your kindness. Stay here tonight, or the whole damn week if you want."

"And I think we owe Layla a new rug. Long story. Pin it on jackass's account when you string him up and wring him out before the Baron."

"Aye, that's true" Siv searches the man as Jonas gets his bulk off the fellow "Hey now, look who has a bank account"

She hands Rikki a card "Go nuts. Buy something nice for Piper, will ye?"

"HEY!" The Eshu calls out "That's theft!"

BIG GRIN. "I didn't see anything."

The bear has shifted to Jonas "Neither did I"

Rikki beams "Okay, Piper I don't know why you said Siv is such a square. She seems cool to me"

"You feeling up to getting out of here for a bit, or do you want to rest up first?"

Ignoring the Eshu now as if he is something she already scraped off her hoof.

"New shirt might look better while we play Julia Roberts" Rikki says

"Whatever you want!" As she sends a text to Basil to let him know that the perp has been apprehended. "And we'll get you some new locks for your doors."

And Siv is pushing by with the prisoner "Good eye, Piper.. nice kick"

She suspects Siv is feeling some Fiona guilt for putting ANYONE In danger and yes, bringing risk to Piper too

Piper gives Siv a pat on the back and a whisper, "Good job, love." She'll talk to her more later, but clearly right now she has a job to do.

Siv gives a weak smile at that, nods and out she and the Eshu go

Only after Siv has left does Piper's worry bleed through into her expression. She closes the window and locks it, then checks the windows in the other room as well.

Jonas helps her "Are you okay?"

"Of course!" She says, cheerily. "Alls well that ends well, right?"

"Uh huh" he nods "Look, I can tell you are scared. You're bolting everything down AFTER the would be killer was taken away"

"well." She looks up at him. "We don't know that they sent just one."

"We don't" he nods "But we will MAKE this place safe"

She nods, rubbing at an arm absently.

"Do you want to come shopping with us?"
