"Come on, May, Trash talk" Lupe demands as she works the basket ball trying to get past for a shot at the hoop set up at the 'Barn' aka the Ironhawk residence aka the 'other' kings place

"You're very short!" May tries

"Weak..." Lupe sighs and shoots past her "It's like everything I've taught you is gone. "

"Hey" May calls out "Sam, stop her. She'll be really obnoxious otherwise"

"No one can stop the Puerto Rican express" Lupe boasts and closes on the hoop

"So call me Ulysses." Sam steps between Lupe and the hoop.

Lupe tries to weave around and try a curling shot

"Ooo classical reference burn," May praises

Sam, infuriatingly, is quick in addition to being built like a brick wall.

Sam doesn't steal it, but she does tip it, and ruins the shot.

"Damn it" Lupe says then admits "Nice one, Sam!"

May gets it on the rebound

A quiet grin.

May tries more trash talk herself as she tries for a three point "You two still dress like traffic accident victims?" And she shoots!

"Better?"

The ball swishes in!

"MUCH better" Lupe admits "But you know Sam and I look good in anything"

Sam gets the ball after the score

Before she can shoot, her mom calls out "you ladies want food?"

"You guys hungry?"

"Starving" Lupe admits

"For your mom's food? Sure" May smiles

"COMING, MOM"

"Okay! Wash your hands!" She reminds!

A siiiigh.

"We know, ma."

"C'mon, let's go." Leading the way in.

They put the ball up and follow. Twobit goes about their feet as if making SURE they go to wash their nasty human hands

Lupe bends down to pet Twobit before she washes her hands. Though she acts as if she didn't if anyone asks

Brown Dog is WAGGING.

May smirks "Poor Brown Dog. Lupe likes Twobit better than you because they're both short and feisty"

Wag!

"Oh you've gotten feisty yourself" Lupe warns

"Not a bad thing."

"You guys are to blame, you taught me to be bolder" May reminds

"Not against us" Lupe fusses but grins

"Food" Her mother calls out and has the table set

The trio of still-teenagers descend!

Like locusts on a field!

The Tamale Pie is fantastic

And Tove seems to have a lot more energy since the nanny started helping

And May and Lupe and Sam? They get to talk sports, favorite movies, and...well, they talk the shit!

And dreams of healthy sort pop from Sam's Dreamer and friend.
