Quarelsome, they fuss at each other, but they also preen

"Didn't know there were so many chimera about here" Sally Mae says surprised

"It's a Thistle thing" Gwen observes "Okay NO complaints about this room. Love it"

Thistle looks for any dropped feathers.

If there are any, they're likely outside... oh wait. One on the window ledge. A Sapphire jay feather

She picks it up. "Hello there."

"Close the window" Gwen warns "Before the gemjays swarm inside"

A particularly cheeky Rubyjay is already hopping on the sill.

"And here we go" Gwen winces "Shoo shoo"

SQUAWK! A peck at her hand, not even chipping the stone.

"Yeah yeah."

"I know someone with fae hawks" A stern warning "Now shoo"

They ARE Jays, after all, even if particularly pretty. Soon there is a racket of cawing and complaining, though when the window is closed it is mostly muted.

A sudden shadowy blur, and the flock scatters!

Good news, the ruby jay left a feather too on the inside

Thistle adds it to the collection. She has pouches!

"You got a use for that ?" Gwen asks "Oh wow. Nice Mirror station. " She looks at her own face

"Not yet."

"I'll figure something out."

"I bet Sylvi would love this. " She doesn't know Sylvi well but she knows she has a make up channel

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, she's got a make up channel. I mean you can really work on your face here. Makes me wish I were more girly somedays" In truth she sometimes likes going girly girl, but only on special occasions. .

"I mean, you could do FUN makeup."

"Don't have to go full glam girl."

"Not while I'll be stationed here, but who knows" Gwen says, then rises "Bathroom check here is solid. And not Pink"

Then they go up to the attic

"Watch out for wasps."

"They love this kinda place..."

"Oh wow. " Gladiola beams "But this is neat"

Gwen looks it over, carefully. And doesn't find any wasps "Good."

"This is.. tight in parts for a full sized troll but hey"

"Good for storage, though."

"Or a spare room for a childling"

"You planning on that anytime soon?"

" I meant like visting from... " Gwen blushes "GAH, no."

Sally Mae chuckles "Let's show you the rest. Laundry Room, so on. Oh, and I suppose the garage"

There's so much stuff in here that the nocker almost misses the gems admidst the stones, so to speak. There are some perfectly useful tools, and pipes here! There a molding stuffed haphazardly under something. And the materials in the buckets can be used for a lot more than cleaners

And if she looks for it, she might even find the disssembled guts for a still. That's not her bag, but the PARTS could be put to other purposes

"Huh?" Gwen says confused "Looks like a lot of needless junk to me"

"The widow left her still. At least part of it."

"oh" A curious look "I was just going to have it hauled"
