At the lake house, once It's just Gwen and Thistle, Gwen says "Me and my big mouth"

"I don't think she noticed."

"I hope not" She says, "The nevers seem to like THIS house fine." Wryly. As at least five nevers have found nooks and places to hang out

"Mmm." Squinty face. She raps on the wall, listening to the sound.

The lake house is rather nice, and fully furnished after all it is where the Rivervalers often put extra guests.

Solid enough

"The house we'll be looking at was made in the 20s I think? I mean.. like the NINETEEN 20s so it's super old"

"Oh, Arts-and-Crafts! I bet it has built-ins!"

"Maybe it still has the original windows..."

"would that be bad?"

"That would be awesome. Furkin' flippers keep replacin' all that leaded glass with pissant Pellas." A snort. "And then they paint everything greige."

"It didn't look greige on the pictures I saw" She says "But those were just pictures. Had a really pink bathroom though" A pause "Did you want to check it out?"

"You should have someone make sure it's sound."

"I've lived in my share of lousy apartments, I know what to look for. That giant goat has been making things better, at least."

"Caesar's pretty cool" She admits "And then I'd appreciate it. Should we do it with Briar along, or go while she's terrorizing the Hearth's kitchen?"

"I'd say while she's busy, or she'll try to eat the banister or something."

"Right. Let's get in the car then. " She looks over at Ivan "I suppose I should leave ivan here. He's done his business so he's good for a few hours"

"He'll be fine!"

"Ivan, behave boy" She says laying out a blanket for him "Love you" Now that it's just Silverwolfers, she can make a fussy goo goo snuggle with her boy, yes she can "Whos the goodest boy? YOU ARE"

Ivan laps it up

And then she gets up to take herself and Thistle to the location on Martha.

A few nevers are highly offended as Gwen drives off before they can get on or in the car

Citrine , of course, has Thistle's shoulder and hair to ride with

Ivan might have entertainment while they are away.

Or be used AS entertainment. Poor bow tied pooch

They drive into the areaa, doesn't look bad.

And it's not too far from the Lodge really.

"Oh, that's nice" she says as they come into view.

"Okay, the yard looks really nice. I mean, I'm no HGTV type but am I crazy or is that good 'curbside appeal'?"

"Thistle?" A brow lift as they pull in "ready to go in?

"Sure"

To mortal eyes, two young women, one very tall Native American girl, the other with hair colors that make rainbows look modest, approaching a house that while not the biggest, was out of their league.

One car slows down to watch the two of them approach the front door.

At the house next door, a curtain shifts as someone peers out at them, watching as they approach, but the curtain falls back in place if they glance back that way.

Waiting for them is a tall Kinain that may look familiar. Sally Mae DeBuke, in a semi business suit, "Hello. I'm Sally Mae. I'm being asked to be your agent. Friends of Rosemary?"

but out of the lawn, which is fantastic by the way , very picturesque... something pops out

"Totally a Craftsman."

It is about gopher sized

"Oh yes," Gwen says "I'm Dame Gladiola, this is Thistle. " She offers her hand, not seeing the little critter, "A craftsman eh? I like the outside. "

"Wait till you see inside" Sally Mae smiles "Come on in" She unlocks the door

A brow quirk at th elittle guy.

"Meep?" It says. THen vanishes, taking the hole it made with it.

Gwen nudges her "hey, everything okay?" A whisper

"There's some kind of gopher."

Gwen looks, then asks "Autumn Gopher or... something more imaginative"
