Then another blink as she registers the other aspect of what he just said.

"What I might need..." He reaches into it, "And may it be less... intrusive" And pulls out a ..dreamcatcher... soft colors.

She regards this, and her eyes grin a bit. "Might that be...for the baby?"

"I..." he stares at it...

"I suppose it might be"

"I don't ... it's fuzzy, but I think it grants mortals a sweet sleep. Would that be helpful for a baby?"

"Well, likely. Babies do dream. And until the child's chrysalis, if there is one, the baby will be mortal."

"Oh" Realization "Yes, I suppose that will be helpful" Jonas smiles "Useful indeed. The girls are worried it won't be fair on me being the one at home"

"Is that how it is to work?"

"Piper lives to entertain and will want to tour a little still if possible. Siv has adventures, and must see the sea at times. I can do some work remotely" He shrug

Brekke notes the shrug. "This is not your preference, though?"

"'mmm?" He seems to refocus "Oh, pardon. I did not mean to give that impression" True "Quite the opposite. I'm the best choice for that so I volunteered" True

"That is sensible." A pause. "I wonder, though, if we might be able to figure out another option."

A brow lift, cautious

"Frank and I were discussing, and...I am not exactly certain what this would look like...but perhaps the three of you, and the baby, could live at the Lodge. We have made extensions before, with the Dreaming's help. And...perhaps that," she nods at the dreamcatcher, "might counteract Bedlam for the baby?"

A pause. "Hm. Now that I have said it, I think I should have said it to Siv first. Please do not repeat the thought to her until I have a chance to speak with her. But...what are your thoughts?"

"Chieftain... " A pause "may I call you Brekke for this conversation without offending?"

A blink, and a nod, allowing this.

"Thank you, Brekke. Firstly, Siv adores you and her father with a love that is fierce, but while she does not tell you it; she very much wants to be more 'mature' in your eyes than when she was a younger more truculent wilder. Due to this, she may want to show more self reliance than living with her folks would indicate. Piper is a satyress and while she always feels welcome there, I do not know how she would feel about living there. That said, it is worth considering. We were thinking of getting a bigger suite here if possible. Rikki's father is the super and Rikki likes Piper. Lord knows why Piper likes Rikki but there you have it. " then gently "On another note. Brekke, I cannot agree NOT To mention this to the women I love. A miscomunication almost caused much sorrow for us. I do not think a lack of communication would be better. We are not sworn... " A pause there then he goes on "But I feel honor and love, both part of the seelie code, behoove me to NOT hide things from them"

Brekke takes this all in and nods slowly. "Perhaps, then, you should tell them what I said. This allows you three to discuss privately. And again, it is only a vague idea. If you wish to consider it further, we would all work out the details later."

He ponders "More than reasonable. And I'll tell them you wanted to be the one to propose an idea to us all, but if they press, well, then yes. I'll tell them what you said and... " A slight frown, "Lest I sound like an ingrate, I want to thank you for the offer. It's tempting and very kind. Would it be arrogant to guess that, if time permits, you and Frank would want to ... or be willing to baby sit your grandchild now and then? Siv seems to think you would dote on the child and that Frank would be downright giddy at the prospect. " He adds "I did question the term 'giddy' mind you. She informed me to watch for Beard movement and see for myself"

A hint of amusement around the eyes, and she says, "I suspect we might babysit the child now and again."

A bit of a smile "I am glad to hear it. "

"To be honest," she adds, "I confess I expect to be completely preoccupied by the baby."

"I suspect you will not be alone in that" a nod "I... am not sure I should spoil the surprise, but Siv did not forbid me from saying it. It turns out that while, Piper will likely be Ma Piper or mom, Siv will be taking the title 'Mor' from our child"

A blink. "Mor? Really?" A bit of a grin.

"She quite meant it. "

A pleased nod. "Well. Good. And you will be...Father? Papa?"

A smile "Father sounds a bit formal so I was thinking Dad." A pleased look "But I'd not object to other terms"

"Very good. And the child might have ideas of his or her own."

"Well..." She stands. "I have asked what I meant to ask. You should tell Anne Marie of that treasure."

"I will, and promptly. " He rises too "Thank you, Brekke. You should visit sometime. It's not fair you're always hosting US."

"I thank you. Perhaps I will...with fair warning."

"It is appreciated." He gathers the picture frame up, leaving the dream catcher on the table

Brekke bids him farewell and departs the apartment.

...but before the door closes, she pauses abruptly.

She turns to look past Jonas back towards the Dreamcatcher.

"Is...something the matter?"

"You said that provides mortals with peaceful sleep?"

"Yes. Which makes sense that I would as ap arent, need it. To help the baby find sleep gently"

"Ye-es," she says slowly. "But before the baby arrives, it might be of use for another mortal, one who suffers nightmares."

A brow knit "Who is the mortal?"

"The Dreamer, May. She has been having difficulties."

"I know May, not well, but knew her. She's powerful, but also a gentle and sweet soul." He considers "I don't want to lose this treasure, but if you think it will help May , well, the birth is far off." he picks it up and offers it to her "Besides, it never hurts to get on the good side of one's mother in law so to speak"

An amused sound. "This is true. And it is my intent to return this to your family well before the baby's arrival."

"Then I hope it helps. " And it is passed to Brekke "Da'an favor your endeavor"

"Many thanks, Jonas. Be well." And now, with the treasure, she departs.
