"...Do you want to come to talk to Dagmar with me? We're friends, right, but I think the two of you are closer. And like, troll bond, or something? Or knightly bond? You two have more in common, anyways." Piper asks Siv.

Siv stirs "Oh, Dagmar's grand. Lot of respect for her, and she is my cousin as well as a lodgemate. Do you want me along then? "

Nod nod. "I'm not sure if you should come to talk to the... um... candidates, though. You might intimidate them, love."

"And if they say something rude to you I might try to murder them" She admits "Just a little"

She leans up to place a kiss on Siv's chin.

"Dagmar's back in Bergen, right? College has got to be out for the summer by now..."

Siv softens at the kiss, then nods "She's been out and about. If she's not at her parents, she's at the lodge with the horses, if she's not at the lodge with the horses, she's on patrol... that last will be a bit harder to track but I bet it's the first to. We could also try this texting thing" A wink

"Oh!" She shakes her head, "Silly me." And taps out a text to Dagmar.

TXT: Heard ur back in town! was hoping to ask 4 a favr. u around?

While Piper texts, Siv stares at Piper, her mid section. A lot of this still sinking in.

TXT: WHat's up? I'm out w/Star

TXT: Can Siv n i meet u? Out by t paddock mybe?

TXT: k, i can ride back in

TXT: ty ty! we'll head over

To Siv, "Dagmar is out on her horse, she can meet us by the Paddock though."

"Ha" A smile "Not surprised she's on a horse. It's like me being on a ship"

"Well, sadly I don't think the Narwhal is the choice for Apartment-to-Paddock transport. I think we can hoof it."

"Gasp. I must travel by ... land?" A smirk "Sure. Your car or mine?"

"Yours, mine is a tight squeeze for you I know." And yet, she loves the little car, even if it's "snug", rusty and sputters.

"Maybe a tight squeeze for you too all too soon" She jokes, and off they go.

Piper is quiet as they head off, but she gives Siv a reassuring hand squeeze.

And it's returned...gratefully

Soon they are parked and walking towards the paddock where the trio of RV horses generally hang out in good weather.

"Spark sure is getting big. He's almost the size of his mom now." Piper observes. "Think he'll reach Stormwind's stature?"

Spark is getting big, but he's still a silly boy. He trots over to see the pair!

Siv says "Hey, Sparklepuff" Then "Not sure. I think he'll between his mother and father actually size wise. then again, his father can grow or shrink"

Piper holds out a hand tentatively towards the foal - er- colt - er... horse! He's certainly bigger than HER.

Snuffle! Apples? Carrots? CUUUUBE?

"Ack , forgot to bring tribute"

Piper checks her pockets. "Think a granola bar is okay? It's like... oats?"

Spark thinks it's okay!

They can hear hoofbeats on the path!

"I think it's okay as long as it doesn't have any artifical... oh saved by an expert" She turns to see the approaching rider "Are Granola bars for horses okay?"

"It's the organic oats n honey kind. The ones that shatter when you try to eat them."

"No chocolate?"

She shakes her head.

"Yeah, that should be okay. Gonna spoil him, but, well..." She pats Star's neck before deftly dismounting in one smooth leap.

Piper opens the bar and fumbles to prevent crumbs from flinging everywhere. "At least we're outside..." And she offers a chunk to the younger horse.

Siv says "Hey, Dagmar, how are you doing?" She smiles but theres a nervous energy to her

"Okay. Nice day for a ride. We got far out enough for some flying time." She leads Star to the gate.

Piper waits patiently for the horse to be properly cared for.

Once inside the paddock, Dagmar strips off the riding gear - again with practiced efficiency. "You guys seem tense. What's up?"

PIper gets a 'go ahead' look from Siv

"Well, I'm hoping you might be willing to help me - us- out with a little... research? Something - happened over Beltaine at Goldfinch - and, and... no one is in TROUBLE, mind you, but we need to find out who was involved, and since you can tell when the truth is being told, or not, I was hoping... you know.."

Blink.

"Be a human lie detector?"

"We wouldn't ask casually " Siv assures "Its important"

"I... I mean, I can help, sure, though I'm maybe not the best at interviewing peopple."

She blushes. "I'm sorry, it's... I don't want to impose, but..." She nods at Siv's comment. "It's important. And I can ask the questions... you can just come along, like, for... moral support?"

"I mean, sure. You're my friends."

"Can I ask what's going on? Did someone get hurt?"

"I'll need to ask you to not tell anyone. Please. I mean, it's probably going to get out if we go asking around, but..." She shrugs. "I can at least minimize it, I hope."
