Tove was on a roll, and Dagmar and her friends get STUFFED...

more importantly, they had a great time. THey talked and shared and laughed at all the old jokes and some new ones!

And yes, the script gets mentioned but Dagmar can cover

"You guys have to come visit my house sometime this week while I'm here, PLEASE?" May beams as she readies to go home

"Of course!"

"Good. Oh I am stuffed" She blushes "But I still have energy for this. " A hug over sam's shoulders, then LUpe's "I needed this"

Sam hugs her friends back, possibly a bit too hard. Oof.

"Wooo" She says but grins as her air returns

Lupe says "We needed it too" And elbows to get her turn if Dagmar hogs May too long. Then gets her own hug

May smiles, then grabs her backpack, waves, and walks away...

Once she's gone, Lupe rubs at her eyes a bit, "November is a dusty ass month"

"Mmph."

and he does NOT smile, not even a little. Good dad

"Okay, so Mom read it..."

And She gives Lupe the brief.

Lupe says "Oh wow, Adopted daughters of Xena and Gabby? Damn, that sounds ike a good story"

"It does. I just..." She sighs.

"I miss her. And you."

"So why didn't you read it?" Lupe says "I mean, it's her script. Part of her. Heck, you're the one who told her she could be a great writer. I agreed but mostly I was back up"

"I don't know."

"I don't have a good reason."

"You probably did" Lupe sighs "Or at least one that fits you. I mean, it ... was kind of a big reminder sh e was no where near home"

She nods.

Tove is cleaning up and totally not eavesdropping ready to offer support

Lupe throws an arm about Sam's waist, "I'm sorry. I'm just.. not wanting to admit I could have made more effort to keep us all tied. I... that's my niche. Or was. I bully you guys into having fun with me. I could have insisted on every second Saturday or something"

"May is too far away."

"And you have pack stuff."

"Yeah" A sigh

"I mean, we got disscord and zoom and stuff but it's not quite the same" Lupe admits

"It's not."

"But she'll be here for Christmas too, and we are going to steal her when we can, right? And each other"

"Right!"

"Long as you three promise I get to cook for you during that week" Okay, Tove broke her silence "At least once? I know I have to share you with your mom, Lupe, and May's folkss but I want my turn as hostess"

"Pretty sure that can happen."

"I'm down with that" a nod from Lupe

"Good," Tove says "And girls, now that it's out of the bag? May I suggest you read the script? May loves you both very much and it shows in every page" She moves back to the kitchen

"I knooowwwww."

"Moms" Lupe says, but it's low enough so Tove can't hear it "They're so... momish"

"I know, right!?"

"It's like.. yeah, yeah, we get it, you're right. Which is really annoying by the way, but we heard you the first look"

"Maybe when we're moms, we get to be right?"

"Oh if I have kids I am TOTALLY not making the mistakes MY mom made" sober

"And yes, I am going to be right, which will be nice"

"I just want to not screw them up."

"You'll love the hell out of any kid you get" Lupe is sure of that "And that means a lot. You were in the system, you KNOW what a difference it makes"

She nods!

"I want, like, a bunch."

"A bunch? Wait, I thought I was the Latina here" A smirk
