Lupe gives an EYEBROW at this

"So, which scene was your favorite?" May bounces eager for opinions

ANd that's when Tove calls out "You girls want drinks?"

"I couldn't pick!" Oh, saved by the mom! "Yeah! Guys, what do you want? She made some fruity iced tea, and there's Dr, Pepper, of course..."

"Dr. Pepper! I missed sharing one with you. We will have Sam Sauce" May says and moves to get it "I'll get them, thanks, Mrs. King"

Lupe whispers to Sam "Okay. First, Sam Sauce is a great name for Dr. Pepper. Secondly... you didn't read it? did you?"

This while May ducks in to grab three dr. Peppers

Sam looks away, guilt written broadly across her face.

"You can't tell her."

"She'll hate me."

"I know I should have! I know! I... it's not that I didn't want to read it, it's just... I just..."

Lupe slugs her shoulder lightly "You were in a bad place. She'd probably get that. You should tell her, but if you don't want to or can't, then I'll help cover. "

"I can't, Lupe!"

"Did you?"

"I was waiting for you to finish it.." A blush "Then I lost track of time. There was this raid of dark forces... it's complicated. We can't let her know we BOTH fucked up"

"Hey guys..." Their drinks in hand, May returns to them "Three cold ones of Sam Sauce"

"Woo."

They each take one "So, how are sports there?" Lupe says hoping to change the subject

"Oh big as we hoped, maybe TOO big. they've got four assistant coaches on the women's basketaball program."

"Jeeeez."

"I miss basketball, kinda."

"FOUR? WOW"

"Not as great as it seems, one of them's a bit of a bitch" May admits "She says I don't play mean enough. I mean, maybe it's true but I am GOOD at the passing game and I feel like she ignores that" A bit sour

Fidget. "How about your teammates?"

"Oh, I don't gell with them like I did you guys but I'm getting there" she admits "There's this one girl , she's cool, gets what I try to do, appreciates when I feed her a good shot."

"That's good!"

"There we go, but sounds like at least one Ast Coach is trying to shore up what she HTINKS is your weak point" Lupe says "You should show her it's not a weak point and not to confuse teamwork for slacking. "

"Thanks" May rallies at their praise and enjoys her dr. Pepper ""See, this is why I needed to write that script. Obviously. You guys are so supportive so having you back kind of was just the best"

"It was really weird not having you guys around."

Lupe nods "I confess, I missed you two. Community Colllege isn't so bad though"

"Sometimes I wish I'd gone there."

"Don't be crazy. Rutgers is still close and you got lots of chances there you wouldn't here" Lupe huffs "Sides, this way May and I can visit Rutgers using your friendship as an in to hang out and bum around"

"Heh."

"That COULD be fun" may smiles

"Our apartment is really cool."

"Decently sized?" May says "I mean, you don't have to be Lupe height to get in?"

"Oh you two have clearly forgotten to fear me" Lupe snorts

"Well, Symon is travel-sized, too, but Sylvi ain't."

May scoots just a bit behind Sam for cover, to mollify Lupe

Siiiigh, with good-natured amusement.

"That's better" Lupe nods approvingly

"Oh you girls" Tove beams "Pardon me, I need my daughter for a moment so we can prepare a proper meal for you three. "
