"Da" siv says blushing "I got this' reaching for her own wallet

Then she adds "Sweet of you to offer mind. But tis a bit early for Yule"

"Never too early to keep my girl safe." he gently motions to her to put her wallet away.

She gives a stubborn look for a moment, then a pause as she considers with thought "Is it safe to say you are pulling your father card on me here?"

"Yep."

"Well, you're my da and I love you" She says and gives him a kiss on the cheek "And you know what you're doing and I should respect that. SO.. yes, selfish as it feels to say this, you may spoil me. " A smile "And thank you"

Then she looks to the nocker "if I knew he was paying I would have haggled harder"

"Price is already agreed on" the nocker huffs

Siv chuckles

SHe has put her wallet away

He pays.

And soon they've got it the nocker says "Anything for you big guy? I mean, come on, mithril hubcaps with norse runes of journey, that's trollish right?"

"Been ok without them so far." he points out reasonably.

"Why tempt the furking fates?"

"What makes you think I do?"

"Because you're not suiting up your vehicle with Mithril hubcaps with norse runes of JOURNEY" He points out in merchant logic

Siv asks "Do you have Mithril Hubscaps with Norse runes of Journey on your vehicle?"

"Not the point" the merchant humphs

"You sure about that?" the old troll seems amused. If you know how to see it.

"Hey, norse runes, we nockers are more kaballah. Sidhe are more celtic...." He starts to explain

"What are pooka?" Siv inquires

"Annoying..." the salesman says "Come on 15 % off"

Frank exhales, disinterested, but he asks "What do they do?"

"They speed your journey in small ways, clearer weather influenced, more open roads... " He says "it helps"

"How much does it help?" Siv says

"By as much as ten percent travel time" He says

"As much?" Siv asks "What's the low end?"

That gets Siv a glare, then there's a sigh "Honestly it's a bit of a crap shoot. Sometimes they don't help at all"

"Mm."

"At least he's being honest" Siv admits "Do you think the Dawntreader would like them? Everyone likes to dress up now and then"

"10% is tempting, but the chance of it not working at all puts us out of pocket, and if something goes -wrong- with them....."

"WRONG?? I Said sometimes ten percent , not sometimes negative ten!" The guy curses "4 out of five shamans approve of this"

"Fine fine.. twenty percent off" he huffs

"It's a handsome offer." he says apologetically.

"Yeah.." Siv says "But Da's probably the 5th shaman"

The nocker says "I'll throw in a free seat cover"

"I need my lumbar support." still regretful.

"Twenty FIVE percent and that's my final offer!" he says

"Siv, can you use a seat cover?"

"Naaah..." A pause "maybe Dame Anne Marie?"

"Mm. We all owe her one...."

"Mmm I'd chip in for that" Siv admits

"I'm -really- concerned about putting these hubcaps on the Rig; size, for one thing. But maybe they can be a prize at a holiday. Can we get your card along with the rest?" he asks the nocker.

"My ca... my card?" He says

"Card, number, point of contact... something? That way we can refer business."

Siv frowns at something , a brow knit

"Oh sure" The nocker hands over a card

"Can you make sure that it fits?" Siv says to the nocker

"It really shouldn't be a problem, the hubcaps can be adjusted" He says

"Mm. 25% off, your info, a seat cover, and the hubcaps. Yes?"
