"I appreciate your understanding." Frank says to Lily as CJ sips his sippy.

CJ goes "Tank you"

"Very good manners, CJ" Lily nods "The monster under your bed would be proud." Then she looks at Frank "I suppose I must tolerate non sluagh's odd ways. "

"Sluagh have always been gracious in that way." he agrees.

"we have, haven't we? " she nods rhetorically "Please pardon me, but you realize I must continue to pry on Mrs. Tove when she returns? the task is but half done"

"Have you undertaken this task of observation on my sister-in-law and her family on behalf of another, Lily?" He asks with grave seriousness "Is someone watching my family?"

"Oh, no sir. Most folks don't hire sluagh childlings. we lack patience " she admits "Hagdom is so far away" A sad sigh

"It is for your private practice, then?"

"It is, sir. If i were employed or assigned it, well, I couldn't tel l you WHO asked, but I would tell you someone did. "

"Thank you for that." he drinks his sippy.

"You're welcome, sir"

"Now, what can I tell you?"

"I am not sure. You're reserved, but that's not the same thing as secretive." She ponders "how can I help mrs Tove ?"

"I'm not sure, but I will ask when I can. I'm sure we appreciate your offer, Lily; it's very kind of you."

"You're welcome, sir. I do plan to improve my skills. You shant spot me so easy in the future"

"I am sure of it."

"How is your family?" gently.

A pause "fine, sir"

"Mo juice?" CJ says eagerly

"pleeeze" he adds

"Very good manners, CJ. Of course." But he cuts it 50-50 with water.

CJ beams and sips

And Frank turns to see Lily has slipped away. Rather than answer questions about family ,perhaps?

Shortly, Siv knocks on the door and comes in "mom's home!" happy

And so Frank can change watch, and go check on his wife...
