And Symon LOOKS at Dagmar, really, really looks at Dagmar. Somethings, some feelings, become clear, or maybe it's like chemistry, all the components finally mixing just so for a new creation

She's always there for him. She's brave, and smarter than she knows, and he would really really like to...talk to her! And maybe hold her hand!

The Cupid sniper blinks, looks at his weapon "The fuck?"

"Grk." He says intelligently, stumbling back under the force of the shot, a hand going to his chest - his eyes narrow and his other hand is flung out to point an accusatory finger at the offending cherub. "FREEZE!" Symon hisses!

Dagmar turns, eyes wide with concern and care. "Sy?"

The Cherub, still confused turns brittle " Ice on wings.. mayday.. may da- " ANd he freezes solid and falls to the ground

"I think... I think that thing shot me. I'm not hurt though. Not that I can tell." There is perhaps a hole in his voile, but (assumed) no wound?

No wound!

And his voile actually tatters just right, his kith stands true

Dag does check, brow furrowing over her golden eyes.

"Okay..."

Lovely golden eyes, Symon might notice

He watches Dagmar, and his expression twinges a bit, as though in pain.

"Is it dead?" He asks... "What happened to it?"

"Did you do a cantrip? We should go check on it."

"I. Uh. I'm not sure. I feel weird. And who the fuck dreamed up angels with rifles?!"

A fluid shrug of those broad shoulders. "Who dreams up anything? Maybe May."

"I'm glad it seems to be a dud. Last time I got hit by a cupid, well..."

A frown.

He swallows heavily. "What happened?"

"I wound up dating Nadeen."

"Jesus, glad that didn't hit me." He can't help but whisper in surprise. "One of us would have killed the other for sure."

A flush of purple in her cheeks.

"Yeah. Like... it feels a bit like when a satyr is going at it? Emotions get too big and run loose, but it's all romance instead of lust. Kinda."

"I didn't know that. I thought you had, like... past history.. romance. ...and just, like. Got back together." He leans out the window to peer down at the cupid, not making eye contact.

"Well, we did."

"So it stuck out past the day. But, I mean, it sure pushed me past my anger about being oathed, and resentment over her taking Tanya and.. lots of stuff."

"Whatever. She's got her Barony now."

Dagmar opens the door again to go check on the chimera up close.

"I... uh. Do you ever.. miss her? Like.. that? I mean, not just friends." He drifts after her.

She rubs the back of her neck, with the briefest flicker of a frown.

"Sometimes, yeah."

"Probably for the best, though. She's really happy."

"Are... um. Are you happy?"

Shrug. "I mean, I guess?"

She puts her hands on her knees, crouching down to take a look at the felled cupid.

It seems to be frozen solid

is it dead? Or can it be thawed?

"Weird. It's cryogenic." She picks it up by an ankle to show Symon.

"...You been working with Vali?"

Grunt. "Glad it missed. Would be embarrassing to wind up like that again. All it does is..." Another frown and she trails off. Shrug. "Think we should do something with it? Stick it in a closet until today is over?"

"Yeah, we've traded a few tricks..." He is looking at Dagmar though, not the cupid. "Does Hearth Kerri have a chest freezer?"

"Does what?"

"We have a freezer in the basement... you think he'd fit? We can check!"

A snicker. "Cupid on ice. Should save him for my parents."

"Can lop off some limbs to make 'em fit..." He looks for the weapon - loose, or still stuck frosted to the chimera?

"And your parents - they don't need his help, you know?"
