It's a dreaded day. One of pink and red, flowers and hearts, and not even the cool organ type. Symon has fled his own home after Dad announced HE would be cooking a romantic dinner for mom... and finds that he has somehow ended up on the pathway toward the Barn.

He hesitates when he realizes where his feet have lead him, but.. a shrug, and he goes to knock on the door.

"TwoBit, you don't need to wake the dead."

He waits patiently, knowing even if he spoke up, he wouldn't be heard over the barking.

Dagmar opens the door, and her mouth tugs to the side in a lopsided smile when she sees Symon. "Hey."

"Hey - Sorry, I should have texted first. You busy today? Mind if I hang out for a bit?" His expression screws into a small grimace as he realizes that Dagmar - or SAM - might have Valentine's day plans.

Twobit bounces about, settling, but she does seem riled this morning

"I'm not busy. Was doing homework."

"Oh, and CJ watching. But he was sleeping..."

He moves inside, taking off his boots at the door so he doesn't tramp snow all through the house. "What homework? Need any help?"

"Math, but I'm doing okay I think."

"Yeah? How does it work with the sponsorship things? If you get a sports deal, do they still make you meet a specific GPA, or is it all just brushed under the rug because 'good arm throw ball far'?" He asks, a bit amused, but matter-of-factly, not in a mocking tone.

"Um. As I understand, I need to keep a C-average, usually."

Twobit skitters near the window, trying to get up to the sill

"Really, dog, what is with you?"

She scoops up the terrier in her arms.

The Chimera lines her up, but not before she sees the Cupid about to fire at her through the window!

"Oh, hell no."

"Symon, duck!"

He turns to look. They're inside the King's own household, within the Barony. What could possibly be of danger here?

For once, it is Symon's optimism that shows up, and his inner pessimist may have years worth of gloating rights after this. Had he dodged right away, he'd have avoided it easily... as it is, he or is the target dagmar, may have to work for it!

The heart shaped chimerical bullet fires, and goes through the window...

His own curse is muffled as he tries to duck, a bit slower than Dagmar on the uptake!
