"Okay folks... take a break " The coach yells "We have some people here, a few of you will be called, could take awhile.. so have a drink, relax, so on... and don't sweat it. You're all doing great, but these folks are very picky"

"I..." May says only to have another Scout come up, she turns "Oh, Sam it's for you"

The Scout shakes her head "Actually, I wanted to talk to both of you..." She holds out a hand "Jenny Jefferson, UCLA."

"Uh.. hi."

A pause. "May, have you considered making movies?"

May looks at her like she's nuts "Movies?"

"We DO have an amazing program for those with big hollywood dreams" The woman says "The competition is fierce, but the right scholarship can give you an edge"

"UC LA. Hollywood, May."

"I.. what about you, Sam?" May asks

"Well ,we do have more than one scholarship , " Jenny Jefferson says

Hoping Sam AND May might be interested

"Well, we'll listen."

And she makes her pitch! She's good, and with the idea of the creative energies there to learn from and drawn on, May looks pretty much sold by the time she's done but yes, she has to talk to her folks. She gives her parent's info

Sam... sam can almost imagine what it would be like, to be in the big city of LA, the city of dreams, what's your dream? But... it may not be as romantic to her as May... because May would be the only one she knew there. And .. Jaymes won't be there. And Tove on video clips isn't the same as hugging her! And... well, CJ! And .. Odin will miss her though he'd never admit it

By the end of it, both have contact info from the Scout... but ... well, how they use it or Don't is up to them

Nor are they alone. Sam gets 3 offers if you include BCC... which she does. May gets 2. Lupe? 3

and when it's all said and done, and the scouts depart, practice over... the teenage girls who got approached finally, FINALLY get to be human and freak out with no teachers , coaches or scouts there to see

"Holy shit holy shit holy shit" Lupe mutters

"I know I know I know..." May says

"What the ACTUAL hell?"

May bounces on her feet "Which one are you guys picking? Which one?"

"I... well, maybe it's early?"

"I.. I really like the idea of California.. I know it's expensive but if I get a dorm covered in the scholarship" May bounces

"Right? Full ride..."

"May, could you imagine you, like, working for Disney?"

"As an imagineer? " Her eyes widen "mind blown"

"To heck with Disney, go into telenovelas in America, it's a growth industry" Lupe says

"Their love could never be!" Dramatic pose.

Lupe clutches at her chest over her own heart

May rolls her eyes but laughs "You guys are terrible"

glamour flows from her friend, chimera shallow and short lived flicker.. copies of Sam and Lupe in fancy dresses sighing and swooning all over the place

LUpe, not being enchanted, is spared this!

Sam giggles, however.

The three talk excitedly, and yes, others got scouted as well and are just as stunned or delighted, and some got passed by and react with wounded pride, or open distraught but most of those leave early. And few begrudge those who earned their shot

Dagmar reassures - this is the first round of scouts.

That perks some up, and with Sam's example, Lupe joins in "Damn straight and don't forget, you're the supreme bad ass at soccer!" She tells one girl who really is great with her feet . The girl, reassured by the two smiles

"You're right. I mean I love both sports, but that's where I excell"

Hidden in the shadows under the bleachers, Symon watches. He waited until the game was over to loosen his ear plugs, and start listening as well. Mental notes about what scouts were there, who Dagmar talked to. May and Lupe? Eh, whatever.

Symon's keen ears help him check which scouts might be trying to pull a fast one on folks too. He knows to warn them away from that lady from DC... but it looks like they're not really considering her

He notices the Squeeze looks pleased.

Mmm. Very well. He makes notes.

Families are being texted... some kids are driving off

May says "my family's here to pick me up. Do you guys need a lift?"

"Nah, I think I'll walk."

"Okay... " May gives each a hug "We're all going to college!" And she bounds off

Lupe watches her go "Gaia love that girl"

"Right?"

"I.. shit. I hate the idea of her going away. But she deserves to go somewhere amazing."
