Lupe looks over at Sam "Your mom's kind of person"

"Yeah, totally."

The meal today is corn dogs. Incredibly unimaginative but stable

"Confession time, I used to be at this school's rival" Fay admits "Watched your athletes crush us last year"

Lupe looks at Sam, "We sure this isn't the most elaborate high school spy attempt ever?"

"What would spying do? Oh shit, those girls are fast and good. That's the secret."

Fay smirks "And Tall. At least two of you probably can do chin ups easy on those backboards"

May chuckles "Don't give us ideas. So do you play any sports?"

"SCA stuff, which is not the same thing" She says "I got to put on wode and attack other cool people"

Brow.

"Huh?" Lupe blinks

"Society of Creative Arachnoisms, a hobby, no a school thing.. "And fay explains it

"That... sounds kinda fun. I want to hit things with sticks!"

"I pity the guy you hit with a stick" Lupe smirks at Sam

"oh it can be fun," Fay tells them "As long as it doesn't get too office politics. You make up who you wish you could be in the tapestry of history. I prefer the celetic traditions, popular, but there's so many cultures. I nearly got beheaded by a Hussar."

"And the Winged Hussars arrived!" May blurts, then blushes

"Those are the guys." Fay nods. As she talks, her gloom fades a bit. Is there a potential dreamer here?

Sam does encourage!

May and Fay could, perhaps, feed off each other...

It's a good strategy, as May asks sheepishly "Were there any such thing as Amazons.. for real? I mean, warrior women are... rare?"

"Not as rare as you think, May. And any SCA area that puts up barriers like that is one you don't want to be a part of... realism is one thing, but choosing ONLY the most repressive elements and enforcing them is usually a shire doomed to die fast imo! Germanic tribes had women warriors and Mongol families accompanied the armies of genghis Khan. And even the cultures who discourage women had rebels who took up sword or bow or spear. " Fay lights up "In Celtic stories, it was women warriors who TAUGHT the guy heroes"

Oh, yeah. May & Fay will be good for each other.

May is bursting with glamour by the end of lunch, and Fay glimmers nicely.
