No sooner Do Siv and Piper return from the Mountain ceremony fall out to their appartment with Jonas, than he grabs each girl by the waist and lifts them up "You both outstanding"

'WHAA?" Siv is surprised

"Eeep! Yes, okay, but why?"

"Oh I don't know, I sat their like a lump, while Siv ran interference for her father, bedazzled and delighted, and Piper you aren't big on nobles but you didn't let the visitors from charm faze you or all the brass around there... instead you played your music, chattered and delighted as well... I think I'm the apendix of this body when it comes to social interaction."

She gives him a hug back. "It helped to have been 'designated musician' for a while. I could bury myself in the soundtrack and not pay too much attention to the others."

"Piper you were great, he's right" Siv says "And i hope I didn't make anyone jealous dancing with Modred? But he unnerved Gerd a bit with his 'older bad boy charm'"

"You were a gem. I know his type." Her nose wrinkles up a bit.

"That bad?" Jonas asks

"I don't know if he's THAT bad or not, but Gerd's not even fifteen yet, so.. nix" Siv nods to Piper

"He can dance though" Siv admits

"And he seemed to respect that Gerd has a boyfriend. Not all do... some see it as a fun challenge."

"Not a bad fellow... but a dangerous one in his way. Maybe he was flirting a bit because Adelaide and Gerd are friends." A scowl "I can't believe the Countess didn't show. I mean, I CAN Believe it, but it seemed rude, security or no"

Piper shivers a bit. "-I- didn't mind. She sounds... like a whole lot."

"I had a bad encounter with her once and.. I don't remember it all except she tried to take our ship" A scowl "I.. hold a grudge on that one"

"It happened on samhain," Jonas reminds "It's possible there are reasons you're not recalling"

"She WHAT?"

"Oh it IS a blur" Siv sighs "I just remmeber we did something GOOD for her and she stabbed us in the back by trying to tkae our ship... that's Eiluned for you. Ooo secrets and treachery, I' m such an Anti hero"

Jonas looks amused, "And yet Adelaide seems nice"

"I'm sure she could do the same if she felt it was fun for her" Siv sniffs "Fine fine.. biases to work out"

"Hey, not everything that comes of Samhain is bad." A smile over at her two lovers. "Maybe things balance out."

"Think of it this way, if she HAD managed to take your ship, OH MAN. It would NOT have gone well for her the next morning... right??"

"Mists aside, you WOULD have found your ship again." Grin.

"I don't like myself when I'm unseelie, " She tells Piper "nothing good has come of it. Maybe it's fine for Uncle Olgar and others, but not me. I'm a slob ,and that's just the start of it"

"Well, you can try looking at it another way. One thing I have picked up here is that a lot of you really seelie types - like, your Mom for example - that's to say, Gwyds are pretty much the Be All End All of Seelie... tend to look at your unseelie sides as an evil influence to run from, and not, well... half of you. We're creatures of duality, you know. You can't have day without night, light without dark, rhythm without harmony. Dreading it and hiding from it turns it INTO something to dread."

Piper looks at Siv contemplatively. "Try looking at it from a different angle. Instead of seeing yourself as a slob, what if you really see it as a freedom? You have your wants and needs, things that must be done, and simple whatsits and todos like tidying are just not a priority for that side of yourself."

"There's good and bad in every personality, Sun or Moon."

Siv wrinkles her nose "All I know is that whenver I go unseelie, even when I'm not with Seelie folks... I have a bad night"

Piper frowns, and moves over. "Was it so terrible, the time we hooked up? The three of us? How could a night that lead us this be bad?"

"Well..."A coaxed then "I suppose YOU make a positive difference ... and no, I don't regret that" she takes her hand

"I mean, take me for example. When I lean towards a Moon Satyr, I'm a bit of a leech. It's like, why bother working hard when someone else will do the work for you? On one hand, it can be seen as lazy or irresponsible, but on the other, maybe sometimes it's more efficient to let those who excel at things do what they are good at, and focus more on other things. It's not who I prefer to be, but loathing and dreading that side would just make it something terrible when it DID come upon me."

"Work smarter not harder" Jonas nods

Piper nods! "Exactly."

"I suppose," Siv says "But, while I don't see as Unseelie as EVIL, I don't think it's for me . And I will try to avoid it"

"Try not to dread it, though? We should enjoy Samhain. It's not meant to be seen as a punishment, after all."

"you haven't seen what it does to my mom" Siv winces

"See, she's just so seelie." A sigh.

"Her unseelie side is not pleasant, for her. She doesn't have fun, she.. well, she feels worthless, wretched and not good enough. It's not because she's Gwydion that she avoids it"

"Even that could be, if not enjoyed, at least salvaged if one worked on it. Like, instead of focusing on yourself as wretched, see the opportunity to be completely selfless. If you are completely worthless, then the only thing to do is find something else worth living for, fighting for."

"It sounds like I'm an Unseelie campaign rallier now..."

"A bit... and trust me.. that wouldn't work for my mom. She just needs to be left alone or with dad..."

"You know them best." She allows.

"Don't worry, even at her lowest she can get the job done" Siv says "Let's talk about something else?"

Jonas advises "or, talk about Samhain at Goldfinch... it will take a lot of pressure off Rivervale to host Samhain if Goldfinch takes the lead, and thus a lot more pressure off your mom"

"True" Siv realizes "Any ideas Sylvi and you have thought of?" She asks piper

"Oh! I hadn't even thought of that yet. We could definitely have a bash there...."

"We'll be relying on Dirk for protection I think.. which is odd, but you know what i mean. Somethink he's gone Seelie, but he's definitely got better grasp of fighting when he needs to UNseeelie than I would "

"Isn't that his night to cut loose too, though?"

She seems unsure about trusting security to an unseelie Redcap on Samhain.

"Well maybe part time.." Jonas ponders
