The Wayburton household is a lively one, satyrs and satyrs kin, it's never too quiet for their is always someone's music playing

Kerri grins at all the lively sounds as she knocks on the front door.

Lydia openns the door, the kinian girl is not enchannted but she knows miss Kerri well either way "Mrs. Davidson, hi."

"Hi, Lydia. I was wondering if either of your parents are home, or possibly Zane?"

She frowns "Zane's not been here for days."

"But I'll gget mom" Annd she goes in "MOOOOM!"

Marsha comes out , looking a bit concerned, "Kerri?"

"Hi, Marsha," she says with a smile that she hopes put the woman at ease. "I hope I'm not coming at a bad time?"

"Well, as a matter of fact, well come on in we'll talk" She also calls out "Lydia... now's a good time for music practice"

"Awww tthat's just your way of keeping me from listening in" Lydia protests

"Yes, you're a very bright girl" Marsha tells her daughter "Now shoo"

Lydia huffss and goes up to do music practice

Marsha looks at Kerri "She's goinng to practice anggry for five minutes then start to enjoy herself. Can I get you some coffee or tea? I have herbal"

Kerri smiles at how Marsha manages her daughter. "Actually, water would be fine if you don't mind." She follows Marsha in.

"Sure" two classes of water with ice aree prepared and they go to the small parlor that's really ideal for two or three people to talk

"Do you know what's going on at the lodge?" Marsha asks "I mean, of course yo udo, you're the Hearth, but can you tell me? I'm trying to make sense of a note Zane left"

"Well, there are a few things, but maybe you should tell me about the note so I can tell you what it might be." She kenns the kinain to see if she's currently enchanted. Of course Marsha is well-versed in fae reality either way, but...there might be boundaries.

She is currently enchanted, andn she hands the note over

Kerri reads, and sighs. "Well...I can guarantee you that it's nowhere near as dire as Zane seems to think it is, and strictly-speaking, it's not his fault. Hmm. How long ago did he leave this?"

"I didnn't notice it until the start of the weekend.." She tells a time shortly after Frank told Kerri about his retirement

Kerri looks it over again, then hands it back to her. "I can assure that Zane neither ripped the wisdom from the barony nor destroyed a political system. No idea where he might have gone?"

"I'm hoping one of the friendlier holds to him, the DeBukes or Fenix or Earth Runes.. places proven and tested. But no, no idea. What IS this about? " A frown "I know Zane can be dramatic, but he doesn't write like that unless he believes it"

"Marsha, I really am limited in what I can tell you now, but there will be a more public announcement soon. There's a shift happening at the Lodge, but the Lodge will still stand as it has, and Rivervale barony is still strong. I think Zane is taking credit for more of this than he should."

Marsha pinches the bridge of her nose "I love my kids, but I may buy stock in a vinyard because of them"

A sympathetic smile. "If it helps, though...this may be an aspect of his self-sacrificing stage? I've seen a number of kids go through it, shortly after the rebellious stage. Not that I'd tell Zane that it's 'just a phase.'"

"I was hoping that was more of a troll thing, begging your pardon" She sighs "Normally i's girls like Sylvi and Dagmar trying to save the world all on their ownn then acting surprised it may not be possible. Satyrs are more... well, SUPPOSED to be more laid back"

"More laid back, yes, but also more passionate and dramatic, if you'll forgive me. So Zane needs to save the world...from himself," she indicates the letter.

"Oh dear, yes, I suppose he has found a way to make himself the star of this greek tragedy. I know wilders arre SUPPOSED to wander across conncorrida, but as Kinian, I think itt's hard to process it"

"Not so easy for kithain, either. At least, not in my experience. With Sylvi, I think I'm just counting my lucky stars that she didn't decide to go adventuring on the Silver with no destination in mind."

"Oh your girl's a smart one with more sense than most kids her age. Zane is brillaint, but his idealism..." a sip of her water "Okay. An announcement is coming. Is..everything okay? or more accurately, can I help in some way?"

"Everything will be fine. Probably a little bumpy road of transition, but it will be fine. And no, nobody is sick or fading or in trouble with the law. Nothing like that."

She finishes her water and rises. "I think the best help right now is to let me know if Zane comes back. I'm going to start checking a few of the places you mentioned, see if I can find him and speak with him. Thank you for speaking with me, Marsha."

"No, Kerri, thank YOU, I know you have a lot on your plate, the fact you take the time to help wiht my son and go where I can't .... it means a lot to me"

She rises to see the taller woman out

"Not at all. It's part of the Lodge work. And I'm neglectful that I didn't bring a treat along with me, so I owe you a tin of cookies," she says with a wink. "It's good to speak with you, Marsha. I'll update you on whatever I find out." And with that she waves and heads on her way.

Marsha waves back, while upstairs... someone plays chopsticks on Piano

annd Kerri has to decide where to go next
