"UGH. Wow, Piper...you're doing Dad Jokes, now?"

A good natured groan.

She grins. "We've missed you, you know. I know you had to go on and do bigger and better and different things, and all, but - well, you left big shoes to fill. And that's not a shoe size joke."

A chuckle from the grump

"Though if the boot doesn't quite fit.." The satyress elder grins but pats Sylvi's hand "Seriously, thank you"

"Um, well..." She grins at the older satyr, and then turns to start cleaning up. "It's mostly that Chieftain Hewitt said he needed me...."

"I mean...you know," a vague shrug at Piper.

"But, um, thanks."

She sighs. "We need you too." She says, but it's quiet.

"Well I'm just grateful you came ot help, honey. I heard about the theatre. Congratulations on the save there. Well damn done" Etsie nods

A glance at Piper, then a smile to Etsie. "Thanks. Yeah, I hope you can both come up and see it. The building itself is beautiful, and...well...the whole community is just so bleak, it really needs something to re-energize it."

Her eyes gleam a bit. "MUSICAL theatre?"

"Maybe we can book performers there on weekends when there's no play."

"Oh, yeah! Starting with musical. And of course, the honorary-DeBuke in me suggested we start with The Music Man."

"Oh my, I had such a crush on Shirley Jones" Happy sigh from Etsie "Guess i better pre order some tickets. I'll get you one too, Piper..repay you for the help"

"I'll go, I'll bring friends, heck I'll even perform if you need a backup."

"Why not call that DeBuke boy to ask if he'd like to sign up? What's his name? SPencer? Loves Broadway anyway"

"Oh, his voice." Piper grins. "Like BUTTAH."

"He'd probably love it"

"That'd be great, Piper! And...yeah, getting Spencer in on it is definitely on my list." But I've been stalling....

"I feel kinda bad. If I'd known you needed more musical help up there, I might not have made so many hints about Linwood hanging around RV when they were finding placements for the centaurs."

She only looks a little guilty though. Not much.

"Oh fuff.. you folks act like that Dark Gate place isn't just a trod and a walk away" A wave from Etsie

"Oh, I wouldn't recommend DarkGate as a place for musicians to live, not yet. It's...probably better for folks to bring in their talent after they build it up elsewhere. Maybe someday it'll have more oomph to support the arts."

"Is it still a major doom-and-gloom zone?"

"Well, there's the whole actual Gate that needs guarding, so...yeah. And we had an issue with a ravager a couple of weeks ago." A frown. "But...well...it's coming together. And there's the tragos that wants to put on a Renaissance faire later in a couple of weeks, so ....still working that out with the local chamber of commerce, it's all kind of last minute, but....well, it's getting better."

"A traggo ren faire? I feel better already"

Piper looks withdrawn as the ravager is mentioned.

"...Ren faire, eh? That. That sounds fun, though." She shakes it off.

"Yeah. They wanted to make it 18+ only, but that would really cut into the potential business, so I think it's going to work if we make it all-ages from 10-6, an then 18+ from 6:30 to 10, or something like that."

She chuckles. " I can imagine... all of the best pub songs are bawdy."

"Damn straight, let me tell you, those songs did NOT originally go fa la de dah de daw or oodely lolly"

She laughs. "Oh, I bet it's going to get randy, yeah."

"Depends if Randy has the guts to show" The old woman DEFINITELY feels better

"Maybe we can get the crew together to come up for a day when the faire is on?"

"I think that'd be great. And like you said, the trod is right there."

"Annnnd...I guess I better head back up. I need to be back before my shift, but I'm trying to come down this weekend to hang with Dagmar, so maybe I'll see you again then?"

"Oh yeah. Just give me a call - I don't want to intrude on Troll-crew-time, but I'll swing by if you like!"

"Thanks again, young lady . You rock"

"It's not an intrusion, Piper! You're cool." Then to Etsie, "I'll leave the rest of the tea that I brought so you can make yourself some more. It won't have the cantrip in it, but it still tastes good. And you get better!" she finishes, wagging a finger in mock sternness before she heads for the door, grinning.

"Bye!" And she's off.

"mmm" A nod " Isee why her father thinks she'll be a Chief some day" Once she's gone

En route to the trod, she makes quick texts to her mom and Dagmar, noting that she dropped down quickly because Etsie was sick, and they should check on her, but she has to go back upstate, but she'll be down for the weekend.... (Yeah, she sounds really busy.)

And then she's on the trod and out of touch for a bit.

"I don't know about that... who knows what will happen. But if she did? She'd be a good one."

"Agreed.. and Piper? You're got a good heart. You DESERVE Hot troll loving" A light tease

She laughs! "I have NO complaints in that regard." A grin, and then, "Shoot, I wish I could have shown Sylvi the new apartment we're looking at." She sighs. "Well, I'm here now. You were about ready to give me your guitar earlier... maybe I'll give it a spin, just keep it tuned for ya. You might not feel up for a jam session, but how about listening while I Jam?" Grin.

"I would love that. Give her a whirl"

She brings down the guitar, and though maybe at a bit of a lower volume than usual, and after refreshing Etsi's tea, it is time to jam!

And the old goat is soon tapping a hoof and smiling
