Mr. Dyer shows Piper the options "This is more of a suite than an extra big apartment, good news is it's closer to the pool, bad news is, it's closer to the pool, that can affect noise level"

She pokes through the apartment/suite curiously, checking the size of the shower/bathroom, and looking UP at the doorways - hands out on either side as she scooches around the corner of the kitchen counter - eyeballing the layout from the view of a larger person.

mmm that shower head needs to be higher up or else Jonas will have to bow his head to get it wet

However, the shower itself IS big enough to stand in for them.

Plenty of width in the doors.

She gives a little spin. "I think it's nice, if we can adjust the shower hear there, just so... " Showing a stretch of her hands to demonstrate the height.

Is there more than one bedroom?

Oh yes. The suite has two bedrooms, and a spacious area between.

She eyes that space covetously... it COULD be a bit of a music practice space. Or a desk area for Jonas... hmm. Have to figure that out.

"I don't think the pool will be much of a problem, none of us are light sleepers. I don't do any recording, so outside sound doesn't bug -me-."

"Well, I'll put a lock on it for 3 days" he nods with a grin "Till you can get the others to look over it?"

"And how does the rent factor, compared to the last place. Think we can still get the 'Wayburton discount'? A winning smile. "And after all, think of the bonuses, to have two Rivervale warriors on hand in case any trouble happens by?"

Mr. Dyer mmhs "I don't always AGREE with the chief and other Rivervale warriors" He states "But yes, there are benefits... but this is a much bigger area.. you're looking at least a 30% increase"

Piper nods sympathetically. "I hear you. Believe me, they can be... stern, at times. But of all the Kings, Siv's the best of the lot, easy-going and I'd venture to say more liberal." She might be a bit biased... "And with us living here, well, you have a perspective on your side of things. I appreciate the hold - we'll talk it over and get back to you within 3 days, if not sooner." The 30% increase is less than she'd expected, and more than fair - Piper decides to not press her luck and try to wheedle it any lower.

Indeed, she's pretty sure he wasn't joking about that, pooka blood or no. And it's possible Piper's friendship with Rikki influenced the kinain to be that generous

"Well then," he motions "After you, young lady. One nice thing about you upgrading is it frees me your old room to someone else"

"Right! Though you'll have to warn them about the balcony visitations..."

"And ruin RIkki's fun?" A blink then a smile "Fair point"

She laughs! "I'd say to just give her a key to the new place in advance... but that might ruin her fun as well. I'll let her surprise me. Or Jonas." A grin creeps across at the thought of her lover being startled. "it's good to keep folk on their toes..."

"I can see why my daughter likes you" He smiles as they leave the suite and he locks it "You're a fine young lady, PIper. You understand the limitations others but don't deride them for having them"

"You can probably thank the Chief and crew in part for that." She admits. "They saw past my own - or rather, who I was in spite of them, when I needed it most." A smile. "I'm going to try to track down my trolls - is there anything you need from the lodge?"

"Oh we're all good here" He says then reconsiders "Actually, maybe see if there's some food from there you can bring Etsie? She's been neglecting meals"

"Huh. She's not sick, is she?" Piper frowns, concerned.

"I don't know" Mr. Dyer admits "She SAYS She''s fine, and her glamour is okay but she looked a bit pale to me"

"I'll stop in and check on her, and bring something back."

"Thanks" He nods "She can be stubborn"

"I'll even promise not to try to cook anything for her." A wry grin, Mr. Dyer has responded to more than one smoke alarm before Piper gave up on attempts of home chefery.

"BLess your mercy" He observes

When Piper checks on Etsi's room and gives a knock, there's a weak response "mm? What is it?"

"Hey, Ets - it's Piper. Wanted to see if you were up for a jam session."

"mm not.. really feeling it today, kiddo"

almost a mumble

Piper tries the door knob...

It's unlocked and she goes in... there's Etsie, who looks positively CHILLED and pale...

Not with banality, but with true illness

"You look terrible." Piper states, moving over to put a hand on her forehead. "And I know it's rude, but it's true.... what's going on? Do you have the flu?"

Fever...

Mmmph mumble "Not covid.. had the shots, took a test"

"Uh huh. Come one, you're getting in bed. Have you taken anything yet?"

"Shot of Jack Daniels?" She points

A laugh! Though she sobers a bit. "Let's try some tylenol as a chaser. It's a fever reducer, to start."

"Fine.. I think there's some in the medcabiniet ..bathroom" SHe sighs "I don't know... how do I avoid the nasty monster of the times then get THIS?"

"Getting near time, Piper. I thought I'd get a shot of energy here... but I'm.. well, I don't know..maybe it's getting closer to my final performance than I thought?"

"Don't be silly." She says firmly. "This is just a bug. We're not calling a tragoidia over the common cold!"

"I used to have the constitution of a rhino... I could join a nudist colony in a New York Subway and not catch anything but a smile" Grumble grumph

"Well, rhinos are endangered, so try having the constitution of a stubborn old goat for a while." She gets the tylenol and a glass of water, and checks the kitchen to see if there is anything that looks like it could form the basis of a meal. Hopefully in a can, or box, with instructions...

mmm a can of mushroom soup...

or if you prefer cereal, honey nut cherios

While Piper decides, she can hear some snurfling and coughing

The soup is plopped into a bowl to microwave, and she puts on a pot for water as well. Water, she can DO!

Checking in on Etsi, "Do you have any tea, or honey? I can pop up to my unit and grab some if you don't. Good for the throat." Throat care is serious business to a singer...

"mmm? Oh I'm out of honey, I need to get some.." She looks like she migght be tempted to go stagger shopping

"Can I call someone to come check on you? I don't want to make you feel like an invalid or anything, but... Ets, you gotta take care of yourself."
