"Morning Patrol time!" A chipper voice says yanks the blanket off PIper's form

Siv lets the sun light filter in the room

The morning sunlight

The smell of coffee fills the area

"Five more minutes...." She tries to burrow her head under the pillow.

"Ahem, we do not always get to pick the time of patrols.. and what was it you told me? 'Oh Siv, I just want to do more for you and Jonas and the lodge than sing at festivals. I can do more, please? ' and you made the BIG eyes... Do ye remember that? " Smells of toast

A groan. "MORNING patrols... what time even IS it?"

"Six o the bell.. actually closer to Six 30. GOOOD morning"

"What?! There's no six in the MORNING!"

"Any evildoers worth thwarting will want their sleep as well...." She groans, but rolls out of bed. Her short curls are mashed up all on one side in a flat lump, it's adorable.

Siv beams with deligght at how cute it is, but of course, without context Piper might think she's just sadistic

"By the time you shower, get dressed annd have a quick breakfast it'll be closer to 7 and evil doers up and a bout"

She grumbles and heads to the bathroom - a sign of how sleepy she is that she doesn't even ask Siv to come wash her back. The sound of water running!

"15 minutes or less, please" Siv makes a mental not to give her 16 minutes then flush a toilet whic should kick off the hot water for a brief if chilly surge

She is out in less than 10, a towel around her hair and pulling on a sundress. "Okay, I'm up! What's the plan for today?"

Siv hand her coffe and drink "As horrid as it may seem to you, there are others who are morning people. " A smile "We patrol, say hello. This is a chance for us to both look for trouble, and see what the needs of the locals are." A look "Now have some toast, we have some jams that you should like and two types of butter"

Piper adds sugar and creamer until the coffee is a pale imitation of the original, and slurps. "We don't need to visit McGilli-cruddy, do we? Isn't she on Dirk's beat?"

"Let's hope she's not up yet... and it's not just Dirk's beat, we alternate. Otherwise Dirk starts eating her fence posts"

She nods, and pours her coffee in a to-go cup, and grabs a piece of toast. "Well let's Get r' Done then!"

"So sexy when you get your redneck on" A kiss on her cheek, and out they go. The apartments are quiet at this time, not a lot of early birds.

And one advantage to the morning is the temperatures aren't nearly as sweltering

Piper tosses her curls to dry naturally in the sunshine, bed head a thing of the past.

Siv smiles "the one disadvantage to you coming along... I'm gonna be distracted by how pretty you are" They loop about the apartments, floor by floor, checking for Chimera. Tikki often does this too, but still, always best to ken for roaming dangerous chimera like Shaft sharks or ceiling crawling face huggers

Then they go outside...

the sunligght IS lovely

and check around the pool...

And that's when Piper notices something move in the waters

"Someone going for an early swim?" She asks Siv, leaning over the edge to take a look.

Siv turns "mmm?"

Rikki rises out of the water becoming visible and splashes PIper in the face!

Siv grabs a weapon ready to fight the chimera then.. realizes it's nnot a threat "Oh for Odin's sake"

"Ack!" She sputters. "My hair was ALMOST dry!"

"You're welcome" Rikki grins "What are you DOING UP a this ungodly hour?"

"We're patrolling" Siv says with a huff "What are you doingg up at this time?"

"Washingg my food" Rikki shrugs

Piper is glad that she finished her toast, ere Rikki try to 'help' with her own breakfast.

"There's coffee and jam and bread in my apartment if you want some, I left it out to clean up later. Balcony is open." Piper offers. Then, she revises, "OUR apartment. But Jonas isn't home right now."

"mmm munnchy crunchy" the wet girl clambbers out, ring tail dripping "I think I'll eat you out of house andn home" A smile at Siv "You missed a spot yeserday, dad's furious"

Siv says "I'll try to read that as 'good job'"

She grins up at Siv. "Pool is clear, Cap'n!"

"now that the hairball is out, yeah " Siv says eyeing rikki "I almost cut her openn until I realized who it was"

"No worries on my end, Mop Jock" Rikki salutes, then whirls about PIper "Have sun, Funshine!"

and off she goes

Siv sighs "Not sure why you're so nice to her"

"I'm pretty sure that Funshine was a carebear." She comments, grinning as Rikki leaves. "Oh, she's harmless, and sweet enough. And if we don't crack down on the little pranks, they won't well up and overflow as a BIG one, right?"

"I suppose there's some truth to that, but i am NOT looking forward to High Summer... aka Pranksgiving and she's a big reason" Siv says as they walk from the apartment's exterior

"Have you thought about channeling that energy into something less... offensive to troll sensibility? Maybe a scavenger hunt with a prize at the end and the participants encouraged to trick and trap each other along the way? Might even get some non-pooka to play along. Or maybe a contest to get video of the best joke played that makes the target laugh? With a bonus if it's a grumpy mundane that gets cheered up?"

"Well, I'm hopingg the mini semi.. oh I should show you that, wi'll keep the kids busy" She ponders "But not bad ideas. You should sugggest them to mom or the Hearth. Dad will be out of townn I suspect"

"Oh. Is he still sore about that earlier prank?"

She trots along at Siv's side, having learned the perfect pace to match the Knight's longer strides.

"I don't think so, he says he has a job for a month long haul. I... I think there's more going on in his head but I can' always pick up his channel. Besides, mom knows whatever it is and that's what matters. Was a time I'd be all hurt being left out, but I've come to accept I'm the only extrovert in a family of introverts."
