Brekke climbs out of the pit herself and regards the tree, assessing the best approach.

Can she reach the branch herself from here?

Dagmar can feel her dad's tension fading, but he does put a hand on her shoulder

"TwoBit fought off that spider for hours."

After a moment, Brekke finds two dry sticks on the ground. She keeps them in her right hand, and with her left (the silver) she reaches up to break off the branch and in the same movement toss the sack into the pit.

"It's true" Lane says "Without her, it would have got me"

Quickly she begins to rub the two sticks together, gathering glamour, and tosses them and an Eldricht Prime of fire onto the egg sac.

And the sac burns smooth, and clear, and clean

it pops a bit too

She watches to make sure it burns completely. Then she climbs back down into the pit and inspects the ashy remains briefly before covering them with dirt.

Not hard to do. The pit however, worries her. It is not common nfor Chimara to make mortal dirt move

Yes, that is the next step...she inspects the pit briefly, then goes over to a part that seems to have been undisturbed by the recent fight there. She reaches down and slowly digs up a handful of dirt and carefully sets it aside. She does this two more times, slowly, focusing quietly on the action itself, and then whispers to the soil, "Who dug here before I did?"

It answers "the hunter... red of cap."

Dagmar finds ice cream duties easy because her Mom is happy to help with them "Want chocolate syrup on it?" she asks

"Hm." She pauses. "When was this hunter here last?"

"Two moonrises"

A nod. "And in which direction did this hunter arrive and depart?"

"The north ,but how far, one cannot be sure. "

A frown and a nod. She rises, picks up a large handful of the dirt she had scooped up, and carries it with her to the top of the pit. Once there, she tosses the dirt back into the pit as if she were sowing seed over a large patch of garden, again gathering glamour to summon earth back into this area that has been disturbed, to fill it once more.

And then, north.

Chocolate syrup for Lane - just vanilla for TwoBit!

Of course! Twobit likes vanilla, and scritches

Browndog tends to lick at Twobit now and then, Lane gushes "This is great, thank you, Mrs King. Mister King.. Dagmar"

Tove has questions "But a spider digging a hole that size? Doesn't make sense"

"Yeah, looked like a trap."

"Why would anyone trap me?" Lane says

"Most people are good. Some are not" Tove says "And a few are bad news. "

"Well... maybe it wasn't meant for you."

"But... centaurs are new, and rare."

"oh.." Lane says startled "Because i'm a centtaur?"

"Maybe" Jaymes says "We don't know"

Lane sigghs "I just want to have fun and hug things"

"Totally valid."

"Aww " tove tousles the young girl's hair "Dagmar likes hugging critters."

"Who doesn't?" Lanne says! Shocked. Critters are very huggable

"Well, Browndog would wither without affection"

"He just needs reassuring, that's all'

Jaymes sighs, as if he must enddure this ("Oh very well") He pats Browndog "you are a good boy."
