"Huh, well, steak house is tempting but not sure that's fair to you, what with you munching Salad while we dine on the beef in front of you"

"Hey, they're bound to have some delicious pasta."

"Well, in that case, that's the place. Now I know your girlfriend like Seafood, but I imagine they got something. You sure you want to pay the bill?" A smile though "Because I will want more than than the 8 ouncer"

"Size queen." Piper snorts amiably. "I'm doing pretty well from tips from my last concert run. Heck, I may even start paying rent!"

A chuckle at the the tease, "Good." At the news "You got some crazy talents and we all know it"

Jamming sounnds from below, as Etsie is up and practicing her rock and roll

"You wanna plan an after party?" She suggests, hearing the music.

"Works"

A grin "I think Etsie wants to cut loose"

"Wanna go jam for a bit?" She suggests, then laughs. "Maybe I should put on pants first." Jonas's shirt easily covers everything, but it doesn't quite qualify as 'dressed'.

"Ha yeah, not that she'd mind. Sure"

She dresses quickly, giving a shirt a quick sniff to make sure it's still wearable. No stain, no stink, no problem! And is ready to head down and play.

Etsie greets the kids "Hey, how's the younnger set?"

"Heeeeeey, Rock of Ages. How's it going?"

"Oh been feeling a bit down," She admits "old bandmatte passed away a few days ago. I hate funerals. If I ever go It's going to be in a party"

A sympathetic nod. "Sucks. How about you play some of their favorite jams instead?"

Basil nods "Yeah, let's here what moved them. Maybe we'll join in, if it's it respectful in your eyes?"

"Ha" she smiles "I like you kids. Sure, let's jam"

Piper fetches her guitar and is soon down to rock out!

And they play, soon the sisters from upstairs come down, even some of the non satyrs at least come to listen. As someone once said of 70s rock bands, they were ugly, but damn they could play

Glamour flows, energy builds. and Banality lightens. Etsie seems in her element, and her features grow blissful

It may not be a proper tragodia, but maybe it's the next best thing. Piper puts her soul into the playing for Etsy and her lost friend.

As it winds down, Etsie leans over and gives Piper a fond kiss on the cheek "The Kids are all right"

“We were taught by the best.” Hugging back

"Oh charmer... but it's true we were. Now you'll grow and you'll be the best. And I'lll cheer you on"

“Speaking about the next generation, Have you seen Jack around?”

"Oh honney, if you're looking inside you'e looking in the wrong place. " She grins

“I worry about that faun. He seems to have a bit of an aversion to music. At least playing himself. I haven’t wanted to pry, but...”

"Oh that.." Etsie waves her hand "Handled..with his mother's approval"

Basil raises a brow

Piper blinks. “That’s good.... but how?”

"I showed him a magazinne that said singing to plants may help them grow." She smiles

“Now that's a clever idea! It’s a shame if he can't sing to people someday though. But it's a start.”

"It's a start" she agrees

"Now you catch him singing, join in, maybe he'll stop, maybe he'll blush and let you sing to the plants WITH him"

She smiles and pats the girl "he'll be okay in time, we'll each work to nudge him along"

Piper nods! "I'll try to keep an eye on him too."

"Now.. I am going to have a drink and a nap" the old satyr says

"oh.. Etsie, you'll be at my saining right?" Basil asks

"Absolutely"

SHe assure with a grin

A grin over to Basil. "I might head over to the lodge in a bit. I haven't checked in there in a while. You want me to pass on invites to anyone there, or prefer to hand those out yourself?"

"I'll hand em out formal but you feel free to share the news if you want" he says

"Anyone else we know getting sained on the same day?"

"not that I recognized" Her cousin admits

She nods, and gives him a smart salute. "Just think, probably next time I see you, you'll be all grown up and sained and named." A grin. "Catch you soon, Baz."

"Yeah tease all you want, at least I know how to grow UP" he makes an updown motion over her head

"Don't knock it." She grins. "From down here, I have structural integrity and can get to all of the most sensitive places. Kidneys, gut shots, groin... And don't get me started on what I can do with coconuts."
