Piper can hear that clopping in the early morning, echoing through her apartment door, vibing in her head.

"Nnnnghhhh...." She cracks an eye open and reaches to check the time on her alarm.

Again, she tries to check the time... maybe she hit the snooze button earlier?

A thumping on the door

She blearily checks the time to see just how upset she should be about being woken up?

God.. five more minutes and it will be

"Cousin? You there?" Basil?

"Whaaaaaaaaat?!" She groans, rolling out of bed and trotting to the door, adjusting the hang of one of Jonas's shirts over her shoulder.

"Girl we got all this stamina, why are you goofing off in there?" Basil's voice can be heard

Her other cousin seems to be chasing a lot of passions, debate, athleticism, at least Zane knows not to come at this hour

"Stamina is for hours that are during the DAYLIGHT." She grouses, opening the door and letting him in. "Want some tea? Coffee - I have instant?"

"Sure... coffee's good." he grins "I'm getting sained soon"

"Whaaaaaat?" She asks, this time drawing out the word with incredulity rather than annoyance as she tosses a kettle on the stove. Hey, she's practically COOKING now! No more microwaved water! Upgrade!

"Has it really been a year and a day already, Baz?"

"Close enough that i have to prep for it. You're gonna be there right? Playing some music or no?"

"I wouldn't miss it! Can I bring Jonas and Siv too? I'll get them to kick in on a proper saining present." She grins. "Where's it being held?"

"Caer Falken... all formal like" He says "Already asked Uncle Professor and the crew at the house, they're down"

"And yeah, bring em. Not just going to be me I hear"

"That's Count Hemlock, right?"

"Yeah, though I don't know the guy well"

She inhales, then exhales, and smiles. "I've gotten better about dealing with the noble courts. But even if it was Count Jigsaw himself, I'd still show up for you."

"Hey, sorry" He says "I guess I didn't think of it thatt way." he does seem apologetic, "You do know the Chief is a noble too right?"

"Yeah, but she's not a sidhe noble. It's... well, sometimes things don't have to make sense to skeeve you out. Like, Mountain Frank is a Liam, but he's cool. And hey... it's not about me after all." A grin. "Who knows, maybe YOU'RE gonna be a noble once you're sained. Ever think of that? Sir Baz the Goldentoed? Count Basil of Holyfuck? Basil the Robber Baron of the Rails?"

"KInd of like Count Basil of Holyfuck, but we both know your moms wouldn't let me visit with a name like that"

A laugh! And she pours his coffee. "Turns out Momma Viola was quite a hit in Nawlins before she settled down. Did I tell you about Sweet Sorrows?"

"Only like every other month" he says with a smile "ggonna like it when I can go on the trods and see it for myself"

"Shall we go there as an inaugural visit on the trod? Or what are your plans?"

"OH gee I don't know. I mean, I got this warrior vibe going... but is that who I'm meant to be? What's my passion? I've tried like a dozen and I'm still not sure. Thought I'd know by now"

"There's always music..." Grin...

"Tried that.. I'm okay but it's nnot singing to me, pun intended"

"You'll find it." She says, confident. "Even Zuzu found his way..."

"Ha. He hates if I call him that" A nod "Yeah, Zane is still feeling his friend's loss you knnow? "

She sighs. "I just hope that Adam finds his way. He was lost..."

"Yeah, but Zane still blames himself. he seems more on he up though. "

"He does?" A frown. "What could Zane have done? I don't think that's fair...." She sighs. "I certainly didn't help."

"Now don't do that. You and Adam wanted different things. I'm glad for you... with your little troll harem there" A slip of a smile

"I think I need at LEAST one more for it to be a Harem." She argues with a grin.

"Oh I look foward to you convincing Jonas of that"

"Oh, I wouldn't. I have a full dance card, and nothing alack." A dreamy smile.

"See that I'm happy to see." He nods "Anyway, he's been perking up some so maybe it's on the mend. I think it's the magic classes the kids are hitting him up for"

"Have you been trying out any new cantrips? Or waiting to see what pops into your brain on sainday?"

"Yeah been working on a few.. seems half the crew knnows primal"

"Not me." A sheepish grin. "So you can whisper secrets to all of my stuff and I'll neer know."

He grins "Working on a mix. Say... you knonw some reason Rikki wanted to borrow jack and Lane together for a tour of the apartments earlier this morning?"

She ponders this. "I thought I heard hooves, but it was godawful early, I figured it was just my sheep telling me to go back to sleep."

"Nope.. I think Rikki wanted to run them through the apartmens like a herd" He says

A laugh! "She needs a few more fauns to round it off. That, or bring those nanny goats from the Lodge. Oop." She covers her mouth. "From my lips to a pookas ears..."
