"Thank you. Anything going on you think I should know for this gig? I know Layne learned how to enchant people and accidentally enchanted our most powerful dreamer in the area. And I know that she tried to slip a gift to her parents..and Tove stopped her, gave her a little lecture. Sad Centaur girl"

He ponders this. "Doesn't sound like she's getting the jist of the law of Ignorance. If it were my call? I'll get Lily to talk to her. If stern troll talks doesn't impress the point, maybe someone her age who can tell her the worst case scenario behind these things would scare it into her."

"Mmm that's a good suggestion." She nods "Last I heard Layne is VERY embarrassed"

"Embarrassment is a good teacher. If that doesn't do it, fear is a stronger one."

"Dagmar is taking it pretty hard about Sylvi and Nadeen leaving. Maybe check in on her. I'm around, y'know. But she lost a few local girl friends. Maybe you can fill in." A slightly uncomfortable look, not really wanting to delve too far into the eldritch nature of what girls talk about.

"I was..actually going to tell you you might want to see her too. Sure I'd be proud to call her a friend, but you're definitely her best friend.. at least among we changelings" a curious notion "And, you're a GOOD friend to her as well. Varich leaves and your first thing isn't a party, it's that you want to help Dagmar with her distance. " A sip of tea and a smile

"Good riddance parties are gauche." He says, but with a small smile. "Nadeen and I were never going to be friends, but I respect that she and Dagmar had a bond."

"I hope they keep it, but yes, I'll try to see if Dagmar and i have anything in common. At least she doesn't eye my dark feathers as if she were thinking of plucking one to work some magic later," A sip "And in case you think I'm accusing, I'm talking about Gerd."

A small snicker. "Of course. I'd never be so obvious."

"Oh that sets me at ease" but a chuckle escapes her, finishing her tea, "Thanks, Symon. For the tea and the help. I will not be mentioning you in any award speeches"

"That's a nice change of pace." He says dryly, but doesn't seem upset. "Keep your end of the bargain too. Anything you think I might need to know, send it my way."

"I will. I'll work the social beehive, you work the shadowy corners"

"Sounds like a plan. And I might check out that basement. ...thanks."

"Welcome" She rises and goes, actually rather quietly, perhaps out of courtesy for what she thinks sluagh prefer

A car pulls up at the Ironhawk residence. One familiar to those who know Nadeen, for it belonged to her parents

Nadeen steps out, and ..taking a deep breath, walks to the door to knock

Twobit barks and fusses! Traitor! Traitor that has upset 'The Girl'!

"two bit, it's me why are you being so angry at me?" Nadeen says

BARK BARK GRUFF! (You make THE GIRL upset!) Bark GRUFF huff!

Nadeen sighs

"It's almost like you think you're a real dog" She repeats the spoken line, "But you neednt' threaten to go for my jugular. I care for Dagmar very much and I want to show her my House because I WANT to keep her in my life. You see?"

The little dog looks up at her, then SNORTS

"Dogs don't believe in due process, do they?" She asks

Dark look from the pooch

"Oh this... " She sighs and texts

TXT: Hey, are you home? shows up on Dagmar's phone

tXT: dagmar... don't make me find a seer to track you down

TXT: homework

TXT: Great. I will help

Nadeen groans

TXT: Don't need help but thanks

TXT: Fine. When will you be done with homework you think?

TXT: dunno

TXT: You're avoiding me. 😞

The kitchen door opens. Dagmar is backlit by the warm yellow incandescents.

Twobit is barking at Nadeen... as if to say 'I've got her at bay, shall I rend her throat?'

She scoops up the terrier. "Shh."

She shushes
