He leans slightly away from the raised voice, keeping his eyes on Kenna. "Yeah. See that you do."

Dagmar looks down at Snow, a little furrow between her eyebrows.

Leaving his mom's side for a moment, he slinks over to Dagmar. Still keeping a wary eye on Kenna, he does glance down at Snow in her arms. It doesn't take a genius to read the troll's expression.

"Again?"

"They went after the horses. Star's smart, though - right? They didn't eat the apple. Snow..."

Dag also has chimerical blood on her voile. Not hers.

He looks her over, checking for wounds. The blood is noted, but not remarked on. "The monkey is okay?" He asks, reaching out with a finger to lightly stroke over Snow's fur, feeling that the limp form is, in fact, still warm and breathing.

The chimera took the poison harder than Brown Dog, but she seems to be holding on. "Brogan came. He had stuff to help."

"Olgar said he'll take her to the Dreaming, and that should help shore her up."

"I get it, there's politics and everything going on. But I really want to see this cowardly asshole. Five minutes."

"Yeah." Cold. "...the guy who went after your dog won't be coming back here. And we stole some intel from him that should help pin shit on the Dairrean." A small frown. "Sorry I couldn't do more."

"It's okay."

"The... " Sne frowns. "Not sure what'll happen with the one who got Snow, now. I'm probably in trouble when Chief gets back."

He looks up at her. "Dagmar... think of what the Chief would do if she showed up and her monster horse had been poisoned." A finger traces a splash of blood on her arm. "Do you think she'd have been sweet and polite?"

"Mmph."

"The nocker wasn't a threat anymore. I had her pinned, her leg was broke - the horses got to her before I got there. But when Snow... when I failed Snow, I was just mad. Not Gwydion mad. Regular mad."

"Good. Hold onto that feeling. They deserve it."

"I don't think you failed. The monkey is alive, the horses are fine, and you smashed the bad guy. Things could have gone wrong. They always could. But they didn't."

A grunt. Not disagreeing - but not sure, either.

"Good job." He whispers over to her. "I wish I could have done what you did." A fist made with one of his thin hands... but then he releases it, and drops the hand by his side with a sigh. "I hate politics."

"Me too."

"Sy... we're gonna protect your family. And you are protecting them, too."

"Yeah, I know. Sometimes I wish I could just smash something, you know?"

She nods.

"I mean, I know all about wanting to smash stuff. Doesn't always work, though. Brains fix more things than muscles."

Kenna listens to the conversation taking it in.

Symon still has an untrusting eye on her.

"Symon, whether you belive it or not, I am ally to your mother and very fond of her. Ask your Gwydion friend if you want her to use the boon on me. It's not fool proof, but I would hope you'd trust it AND your mother"

He gives a nearly soundless snort. "Prove it with action, not words."

She looks tempted to say something, but then bites down on whatever she was considering and instead says "Somethings are in motion"
