Frank is on patrol!

A nice walk, at least.

As a liam, he checks on some local dreamers, mask and all, and of course, he enjoys nature.

When he hears sounds of a scuffle?

He makes his way towards it.

A winged wolf snaps and snarls, one of Dagmar's friends.

Frank doesn't rush in. He observes. "Like a hand with that?" He offers politely.

"Onne would not object" the skywolf admits as the beetle can fly

Frank nods and pulls his tire tapper to club the thing down.

Frank is strong (Duh) and knows how to apply it! Shattering the shell with one blow, he creates an opportunately for the wounded wolf to retliate and bite as well

Frank helps, but it is the wolf's hunt.

And down the Beele goes "thank you, friend gian" the wounded wolf says "I did not mean to stir THIS up"

"My pleasure." Frank says. "Can I ask what you -did- intend?"

"I was curious about a scent, not this, and was trying to trail it. That was when THIS thing lunged" He sighs " ishould be more cautious." A pause "tell me, have you smelled new changeling?"

"My sense of smell is not as keen as yours." He admits. "I have heard some rumors."

"Is it a threat to the pack?" Wolves are community minded

"Perhaps too early to tell, but I have not heard of dangers or attacks."

"It is good then. I am grateful ,how may one repay?"

"No repayment is necessary. It was my honor."

"May your mate and pack find game even in lean times" And off he flies.

the corpse of the beetle left behind might be of use to someone like Symon. Or perhaps the chunks of shell could be turned into chimerical potttery or the like

Frank examines it carefully and if it can be carried safely, he'll take it with him.

It can be, and soon he's heading towards the lodge.

"Da?" Siv says, she looks up from the vehicles. She's been shoveling snow

"Thank you for that, Siv." he says in reference to the shoveling. "Good patrol. How are you?"

"Oh, I'm fine" She shrugs "I'm curious to what you're carrying. Looks like the husk of a bowling ball"

Oh, chimerical beetle. Helped one of the winged wolves get it.

"Oh good. Dagmar's a fan... and they seem good folk chimerically speaking. "

"Iagree. We are lucky to have them."

She eyes the beetle "Symon would love that thing, but it might also clean out to make good material for scrubbing in the kitchen"

"You mean..... use the shell to scrub the kitchen?" Frank is puzzled, and looks the carcass over.

"It would make a good bristle scrub I think, " She says "Not sure

"

"Hmphm. Maybe so. I'll ask Kerri how she feels about a beetle scrubber."

"Well if you boil it clean.." She says with a laugh, then as if remembering something "Dad. I know mom's busy with the count this week, but if there are beetles in WINTER, which is odd even for chimera, should we increase patrols in the wood?"

"Hmphm. It couldn't hurt." he agrees.

She nods "I think I'll get Jonas on it"

"He does have other duties, Siv. Maybe we can all take an extra hour or two?"

"What's the point of a boyfriend if I can't make him do nice things for me?" A pout, then she banishes it "Oh fine. Your'e right i suppose. he works hard enough"

Frank nods. "He does." after a pause.

"We can all take an extra hour or two. I'll get hand-warmers."

"thanks, Dad." A curious look, then a smile "And thanks for looking out for Jonas."

"Mmph."

"you kind of like him?" Hopeful

"He seems dutiful and dedicated."

"is that a yes?"

"I appreciate those qualities in him."

"I'm going to take that as a yes" A smile "I think he likes you too. "
