Jonas ponders "Now's a good time to call shot gun right?"

Siv says "it's a car, you chickens.. Besides, I bet if we ask one of us gets enbalmed"

"$20 bucks says the driver is a sluagh..."

"No bet" Both trolls say at the same time

And indeed, a sluagh rolls down the window and whispers "... mumble ..."

"Is Daver short of "Ca-daver?" She murmurs to Siv?

"I think that's the punchine" Siv says and moves closer "Pardon, didn't hear that"

"knights heart ride, you Waveborne?" the fragile whisper asks

"Sure am" Siv says

The doors unlock and the sluagh motions them in

She slides into the back seat, holding the door for Siv - as Jonas had called shotgun.

Jonas says "I was joking..."

"Oh no, equaliy opportunity here.." Siv insists. Then gives Piper a peck on the cheek "Thank you!"

"You get the front seat, I get to snuggle in the back. Them's the breaks!"

"Darn it" he says

She is gracious in victory... wait, no, she's sticking out her tongue.

Once everyone is in, Daver drives

"Be nice" Siv grins at her

And they drive, circling the outskirts of New Orleans, the driver puts in some dirge music, at soft volume

Even so, Piper can't help but hum along, winking over to Siv.

Siv rolls her eyes but smiles

And the trip is otherwise uneventful. They make their way towards a ramchackle area FULL of storage sheds

"Ooh, this reminds me of that show.... mmm, I forget the name. Where they crack open abandoned storage lockers and bid unseen on the contents."

"Not ringing a bell" Siv admits

She flaps a hand. "Not relevant. Unless we expect we need to fight over this... and we won't, because we have the key." She reasons.

"Unless, "the sluahg whispers "The treasure is cursed to drive you each mad with greed, and you are driven to turn on each other...as paranoia and loathng for all but the treasure takes deep root."

"Tell you what. If it is, I promise you'll be the first to know."

"oh most kind" The driver says "Shall I remain for a bit?"

Siv looks at the others "Sound prudent ?"

"Cool with me, if it's not too expensive."

"Or as long as no one else calls. Y'know, I don't want any other Fae stranded."

"Right,taht" Siv says. Jonas nods

"Kay" Daver sits in his car "If I drive off you know why"

She slides out of the back seat, and eagerly clips over to the nearest shed. Checking to see if there are numbers or names on them, and if any match the info on the key fob.

Looks like there are numbers if not names. This isn't it, so the search begins

She excitedly darts from one door to the next, calling back to the Trolls, "Nope... not this one!" And checks one after the other!

"Okay speedy we cant move as fast as..."

She finds the right one.. and is about to put the key in when she notices the oddly thin noose lowering down towards her neck

A gasp of surprise and she jumps back - reaching up to grab the rope... string? And give is an angry tug! "What's the big idea here?!"

While not the strongest gal around, our heroine does eat her wheaties and nearly pulls the redcap down "Damn bitch! It's mine!" She gets the feeling he doesn't mean the noose. He did have to let the noose go

And a knife flings through the air. Chimeric, but it hurts as cuts the redcap.

"Back away" Jonas warns the redcap

"Far away" Siv snarls drawing her blade . Both troll's eyes are dark

Piper is obeying even if the Redcap isn't, and backs away to the other side of them both. "I think you messed with the wrong trio here, bub."

"Shit! I didn't know there would be three of you" The redcap snaps "Fucking trolls. Fine Fine..another time. But I know who YOU Are, Piper McCormick, and I won't forget Samhain 2020" wounded in the leg he takes some of the blood and flicks in the air "Red Path, Blue path! Blood on the wind" And he starts flying away

She SCOWLS and tries a cantrip of her own! "Flip you off, and up, and down, flip your ass into the ground!" And waves her middle fingers at the Redcap as she attempts to HopScotch him down from the sky against his own attempt to escape.

"CHEAT!" He yells as he is thrown off

and down

Siv says "Inventive cantriping is cheating?" But she moves to stop the Redcap. Jonas joins her, both moving in on him

She moves over, courage buoyed by the blue guardians on either side. "Listen, you. I don't remember what I did to piss you off. But I know who -I- am, and nothing I'd have done should have been STRANGLE worthy."
