"You're running late." She says "Samhain is over, back to school all that. "

"I don't wanna go back there."

Tove sees the slump,and takes a seat on the corner of the bed "Is it about Adam still?"

"Or is it Nadeen?"

"He's just such... like, at real school, I'd only see him at maybe one class."

"And he's so... like, I don't know what the fuck has all gotten into him, but he just radiates how much he hates being there."

"It poisons everything else. I don't like it."

A sigh "That boy worries me too but hes' not your fault, or your problem. "

"It's not even, like, our history - I've already been lectured about how I need to get over it and how I can't let him have 'power over me.' I mean, trust me, he doesn't talk or look at me."

"I don't see why the rest of us should be punished so he can learn a lesson."

"Well, scratch the 'don't let him of him have power over you' bit" She sighs "But if he doesn't have power over you, then .. I'm a bit lost on why you can't endure him?"

Grunt.

"Because he makes everyone around him fucking miserable. Because his bullshit attitude gets to the teachers, and gets to the students. Because he acts like an asshole to everyone from the lodge except Zane."

"Well, they say he got better recently. Less obvious about hating everhything and everyone"

"Maybe Samhain was good for him"

She rolls her eyes.

"Maybe not, but apparently he's better behaved. That said, I don't want him driving you off from the farm." She frowns "The DeBukes like you"

"And I used to like the farm."

"I see." She sighs "Yes. No I am not goign to blame your attitude, or how you let him get to you. I've already talked to Kyle. He's at a loss. Adam won't respect his parents. He's already driving his mother to near ..." A sigh" Well. let's say there's a reason she's only teaching the kids english"

"Brenda doesn't deserve that, either."

"No.She doesn't. But what can they do? "

She scoops up Odin. "Dunno. I can't even see the guy I thought was nice anymore. I can't believe I liked him."

"All that's there now is just selfish and spiteful. EXTRA spiteful, since he thought he got his Super Special Sidhe wish and then fizzed out."

"The really annoying thing is, it sounds like he's going to win again"

"So he's just got all the more convinced the universe owes him something."

She presses her forehead against Odin's.

"He wants out of that school and if he doesn't get kicked out, he'll make others want to leave, is that it?"

She rolls her eyes.

"So we don't want him, and he doesn't want to be there, and oh, shit, I gotta just suck it up or otherwise he wins?"

"He made such a tantrum that everyone's miserable."

"It's not fucking fair. I don't want to be part of his story, okay? I want him to fuck off to Earth Runes and me not to have to think about him anymore as he goes around fucking every girl that lets him."
