"the bookwyrm's egg is ready to hatch" She says "It is perilously close."

"Oh! It needs a nest! And a b... bottom. A warm bottom. Or an ink-ubator. With ink, like a book." He sounds proud of this.

"Do we know where its mom is?"

A solemn look now, seeing the egg in a new light.

"Someone took it's momma?"

He hushes, trying to be quiet.

"Someone stole it from its nest."

A hand over his mouth in fact.

"Yes, the omens however offer.. choices." the Seer says "If I leave it here for the Caer Falken library, itwill be most useful, but ill fortune may fall here for our selfishness. If we take it to its dam and sire, they will great it warmly and share a lair, but the book wyrm will never have a destiny of significance. IF..however, we take it to another hold a bookwyrmles one... it may settle in and by the challenge of thriving, grow to greatness and a great destiny" A look at Dagmar "You are to make the choice. not me"

"Will it be happy, with its family?"

Connor frowns, his ears twitching. "Do they miss him?"

"Or... " Softly. "Not?"

She nods at Connor's question.

He leans against Dagmar, and whispers up to her. "My egg dropped in a River and it hatched there." A nod, straightening back up.

"Happiness I cannot say... but.. most likely."

"Happiness and love matter more than greatness."

"Welcome to House Fiona!" Siv chimes

Grunt.

"So, yeah. We'll take it home."

"Then go to Library Way" She says "In New York City"

"Is there a good way to the city from here?"

"to the city yes, but to the library, nothing direct." The Seer says, taking the egg and putting into a gentle case "if it hatches in the city streets it may be.. stunted."

"So we have to hurry. Okay."

"But the plaques are safe points. Remember that"

"The plaques?"

"They're metalic little signs but all fancy" Siv says helpfully

Connor ducks his head. "The city is a cold place for a boy. I better take my paws. Unless you want me to wait in the car?" He looks at the Egg, uncertainty in his expression.

"I guess Buddy might be safer..."

"M'sorry. I make things harder in Muggle-land."

"Hey, you're fine" Siv says "You've got a challenge that's all"

"I'd rather have you with me, though."

"But my challenge shou'dn't havta be Dagmar's! She already has a quest."

"I want you there." Stubbornly.

And he peers up. "You do?"

Grunt-nod.

A small nod. "That's why the river took me to the vale, then. Even if I got soggy on the way." Then, he looks at Siv, and his head tilts. Tilts to one side, then to the other. He thinks... but then shakes his head. "Okay! Let's go."

"Be well, and be careful" the Seeress says "the right path is not always the easiest"

"I'm really glad you came there." Ear-rumple.

"Thank you, Seer. We'll hurry."

He nods to the Seer. "We'll take the left path then." And a wave!

Siv heads out with them "So, guess the question is, do I need to hang back or go with you? up to you, Dagmar"

"Okay, so there's a trod to the city.. then uh... the library with the lions is mid-town..."

"I mean, I guess it's not some glorious quest to get a baby home. If you need to do other stuff..."

"It's about love... not the sort I usually champion but hell... I'm happy to assist. You take lead. We wont' go by ship anyway. I know the trod"
