"So" Siv asks Dagmar "how was my heralding?"

"Fancy"

"I'll take that as praise. I know you and mom aren't braggers, so I did it for you"

Grunt.

"Amazing performance, Siv, thank you for electrifying the show even more" She translates then answers "You're welcome, Dagmar. I'm proud of you too" A grin

Grin.

A grin back, then "Some of the other riders. Crazy stuff huh? That Fiona.." A wince "I'm not a horse woman and even I could see he didn't belong jousting"

"I wonder if we could help the satyress and her horse, though?"

"Well, Sylvi went after her and came back. I bet we could still find D'Lorian if you want?"

"I can't get her a better horse. And, like... seems she likes her horse plenty, too."

"I don't think she would expect you to do THAT. Maybe help her in another way? Contacts?"

"Maybe..."

"Earth Runes keeps a satble, and they have lots of satyrs..."

"Not a bad idea. " She nods "They've got a lot of jousters. I wonder how they're doing Pennons wise? Probably went to the Duke and Duchess this year"

"Well, and Teaneck..."

"True. She's a Freelance. Wonder if that's by choice" Siv ponders

Shrug.

"One way to find out."

And they look about and see the satyr girl cleaning the horse, who looks, much restored, if still needing that mud off

D'Lorian washes at the hooves "Easy , easy"

"Hey."

"oh, Dame Dagmar" A bow, a bit unpolished

"And, Lady Captain?" Another bow

"What's your girl's name?"

"River" she answers "Not mine originally. But ,well...she was great once"

"She's still a good horse." Stubbornly.

"Oh she's an angel, but I nearly killed her jousting. It's not fair to do it to her again" Dame D'Lorian says "If it werent' for Sylvi she'd still be a mess after today"

"Sylvi helped him with ... oh, of course, Spring magics" Siv says "She's good"

"Yes, she's very kind" D'Loriean says "You all are."

D'Lorean looks at Dagmar "Forgive, is.. Sylvi mentioned a horse ranch that would take good care of her?"

"Oh! The Liam ranch!"

"I bet they would!"

"She might not be up to jousting, but I'm sure she'd be good with kids..."

"River's rather gentle" She beams

Nearby, having finished up his dealing and tucked away the bill of sale, Lord Aiden is leaning in to his new horse, talking to it quietly. Not a willow whisper, but just soft speech, accustoming him to his voice before reaching for the reins.

"I mean, I'm sure she'd be good with kids" D"lorean says "And she'd still be useful"

"...bet they could use hands, too, if you wanted work."

"And she'd have someone she knew."

The horse Aiden has acquired wants to serve, to do well by the rider, if the rider trusts him. And seems to be warming to AIden with a curious inspection of his own. Gwen tries not to smirk as she sees the horse bump the Ailil at the ear

He smiles and produces a carrot from a pocket, offering this to the horse in small pieces that require him to lip the man's hand, and get used to his smell.

"Oh.. I..." Dame D'Lorean looks unsure "I think I want to joust. I love jousting. I don't think I could do it at that ranch. "

The horse , who was ill named, crunches the carrot offered

He leads the horse over to where the others are speaking, and pauses a few steps away, waiting politely to not interrupt.

She nods. "Just.. thinking. I dunno. I know I'd hate to have anything happen to Star."

Or rather, as an Ailil, waiting ostentatiously to be acknowledged?

The satyr says "Oh I'll be happy to.."She turns and sees the Ailil

"Lord Aiden, hi."

"Dame Dagmar, Lady... Herald." He greets her and Siv politely, not knowing her rank. "May I speak with Dame D'Lorian for a moment?"

Siv bows "Lady Captain I'm called by title , Baron, but it's hardly fair to expect one to know."
