Nadeen stares at the water, and focuses, "Part" And she gestures...

And, fortunately, no mortals are nearby, for the water shakes... shudders and the lake starts to divide!

The Varich's hair flutters in the power of the cantrip

"Ha. I knew it didn't look that hard," She starts to step onto the new bare 'land' strip , going down the side and seeing the walls of water that quiver

Down and down she goes..the cantrip holds...and she travels further "Well, there's a reason we were worshipped it turns out..." She starts to walk the entire way, or so she plans.

Then...leaks pop...leaks of...

"Uh oh"

The cantrip gives out... perhaps someone upstairs thinks she's gotten a bit too cocky? Who knows

maybe the Dreaming just has a sense of humor

"Oh no..." She turns to run....but not in time as...

"GLurph!" Cough and calling out "HELP!"

Nadeen might be struggling too much to hear hoofbeats. The weather is beautiful, a perfect time to ride...

A pale hand splashes up

and surely Dagmar can see the waves churning on the lake

"Whoa..." A gentle pull on Star's reins. She looks at the disturbance.

And might see her girlfriend rise out of the water before being sucked down again. Nadeen is in good shape, but this is clearly rougher water than she's used to

"Well, shit..."

A look. No mortals? Time to activate the saddle's wings!

No mortals!

Time to fly!

And wings burst from the saddle and Star lives up to her name and rises into the air, and above the waves

Dagmar guides Star over the churning water, clamping her knees tight as she leeaaannnnssss over to grab the sidhe.

"Damn.." COUGH "Traitorous water.. I'll have it hung for thi-Glug!"

And then, Dagmar grabs her hand and pulls her up

Brute strength can come in handy!

Nadeen is glorious, of course, nearly drowning brings out passion, and she glows, her voile soaked againt her.

Dag swoops quickly to land on shore.

Coughing she says "I thought I had it...I DID have it.."

Luckily, Star is smart and steady.

Star snorts. SURE she had it. Two leggers

"Had what? What were you doing?"

"You could have died!"

"I was trying to order the lake to part..." She wipes her lips "There was this animated movie on ..I forget waht channel. And I thought I can do that..."

Star has landed on the shore, though she is tempted to take flight again

"...You were trying to part the sea?"

"The lake.. it is just a lake.." She spits up more water "ugh"

"Yeah, "just."

She sits Nadeen down on the bank, gently rubbing her back.

More coughing.

"We'll get you to the lodge, in front of the fire..."

Then she says "thanks. It worked. It just didn't hold...... darn it.. I should try again. I'll master it"

She eyes the lake with flickering determined look..and Dagmar may worry her beloved Nadeen is out of her damn mind.

"....Yeah, no."

"At least not in the MIDDLE of the lake."

"But I was THIS close!" She makes a gesture to demonstrate

"And Varich have a history of mastering the land, bending the elements to our will, controling nature"
