"Swamped," she admits "I'm not afreaid of work, but I am glad Jonas popped by to help again. Bruce is fussing at me" A sigh "Husbands can be very protective when they think you're pushing yourself too hard"

He nods soberly. "It is a failing, I'm sure. Dr. Lee is well, also? I would imagine there might be some fall out on him."

"mmph the hypocrite. Surgeons aren't as needed during these times as some speciaolities but he still goes in early in the morning and comes back late at night far too often for my liking" She says

His beard moves. "A hard worker."

"Incredibly so. One of things I love about him, but I could find a way to let me pamper him just a bit... mmph" A shake of her head "I think it bothers Symon but Symon would rather grow teeth THEN lose them"

"It? Your husband's hard work, hard work in general, or what happened in the raid?"

"His father being away so much" She says "Sorry, the raid? Well... one hears rumors." A frown "I ...can't surpress some of them try though I might"

"To my knowledge, all involved acted with honor, and the foe was defeated." Frank says gently for what comfort it might give.

"That.. helps, thank you" She says "Now , how about you? your family? Can I get you something to eat or drink before you patrol again?"

"No, thank you. My family is well; Renaissance supported our efforts there, and Siv took great risks but with great rewards. And, I have a few more stops to make before I can rejoin her, and Brekke. Will you forgive me?"

"Of course, of course, me rambling on. Please send the lodge my affections"

"I will." He offers his massive hand and a warm smile.

She takes it ,and bids him well.. and soon he is off again

Frank walks carefully up and knocks.

The door opens, Marsha peeks out "Hey , Frank! How are you?" The kinian woamn smiles

His beard moves and his eyes are kind. "Hello, Marsha. I'm just making the rounds. How are things here?"

Marsha Wayburton might be easy to mistake as a bit of a new age flake, a Bohemian yoga mom, but for a moment, a look of concern flashes across her face

"It's ah, been interesting"

Then she says "I'm worried you're putting too much on Zane and Piper"

Frank nods, concerned. "How so?"

"How.. how so? Slavers and redcaps... Crazy Balor with Cold Iron in her hands... Piper is no warrior and Zane is... I have no idea why he was there. I mean, they're wilders but... oh my goodness"

"Piper was matched up with one of the best warriors in the Barony, perhaps the County." Gravely. "And Zane was in similar company."

A frown "They had GUNS. " A pause "And Cold iron"

"I know." Quietly.

"As you say, Marsha, they are wilders." the grizzled grump says gently "This human trafficking chain was an abomination, and they were part of its destruction. Yes, there was risk... but the results say they were fit to meet it."

His beard twitches. "Perhaps the difference in this case is .... we know about it."

"And no sooner does he do that... then Zane rushes off to fight a curse on Siv? "

Frank clears his throat. "Yes. Apparently. Not... technically a curse per se, but.... in its effect, yes."

"You can see why as a Kinian woman and mother of said son, and aunt of Piper.. I'm not quite COMFY with this yes?"

"Yes, Marsha, I absolutely do." Firm and sincere.

"Well, that helps" She says "I just thought they'd be having sex, maybe trying some low grade substance abuse .. you know, kid stuff." A shrug and shake of her head "My anxiety aside, we're ... so so? Zane is worried about Adam. Piper and Adam broke up after the fight, no i don't know the details, but Adam sent Zane away.. .sent Nab away... and is holed up."

A frown.

"I plan to visit the Thomases....." slowly "How do Zane and Piper seem to be?"

"Piper is at the apartment.. so I'm not sure I was going to visit her soon... I don't want to crowd her space but.. balance, you know? "she says "Zane seems... I think he is torn. He was hoping for more of an audiance for his good deeds but he also knows that's not what it's about so he feels guilty for wanting attention so it cycles... but mostly he's worried about Adam"

"I am glad to know about this. Is Zane home?"

"No" she says "he's patroling so Adam doesn't get in trouble for not patroling" Ahrum

A deeper frown. "Hmm."

"Zane said Adam has been neglecting his patrols? Did he say why?"

Marsha looks at him "The..break up with Piper?"

She looks at Frank as if he is only now tunning into the right channel

Eyebrow. "That break up prompted Adam to stop patrolling?" A heavy sigh "I suppose that makes sense." Then he mutters something.

"Not everyone's from Boston John.." A mutter then sshe clears her throat "He MAY still be patrolling but Zane doesn't think he is patrolling so he's making sure"

Frank rubs the base of his horns. "That should be clarified. You said he sent his chimera away as well?"

"Well, then... Zane is probably down the road wandering ..pardon, patroling"
