Well, Adam's folks got the call from the Chieftain. In the morning, the breakfast served came with ...questions "So what are the details?" His mom asks

"Little Connor looked like Symon and tricked me into taking him up to Carthage. I guess his family is at a Hold There? We met his aunt.... man....." a sigh.

"I take it she's pretty?" At the sigh.

"Then Gerd and Dag showed up and we all left. I drove us back to the Lodge and crashed on the couch, I guess. It was a long day. Long drive."

"-Devistating!-"

"She sounds gorgeous" Brenda admits

"Oh, her eyes..... like blue and purple and something else all at the same time.... And her hair?? If I could have moved.... all I wanted was to see if it felt as soft as it looked....."

His mom sighs appreciatively then says "I guess thinking was out of the question around her hmmm?"

"Uh. Kinda."

"I don't blame you," His mom says "Sparrow about blew my braincells out"

Yes, it seems just about everyone has seen this winged sidhe but him

"Sy.... -Connor-.... mentioned her. She sounds amazing." He eats, a hungry teen.

"She is... red hair, feathered wings... she looks almost like an angel ... even the way she moves is this odd mix of ... I don't know, she flows?" Then she snaps out of it "I'm sorry you got tricked, but ... you need to text when it's going to be that long or to a noble hold. both have some complications."

"Yeah, sorry. It was just happening really fast."

"We were worried until we got the call from the Chief, I won't lie. And even then we weren't NOT worried." She admits.

He does look contrite.

And Brenda either believes it or decides to appear to believe it, as he features soften "Well, now you know."

"You are okay though? I mean.. one hears stories about Ailil... how they end up having something on you just from shaking their hands?"

"I didn't hear about that.... but I feel fine."

"Good." She says "Want another helping?" Regarding the food

"Yeah, thanks. I think I skipped dinner."

She gets another helping for him "How is Connor? I suspect he's in trouble, but from what I know of his back story it couldn't be easy for him to break the rules only to find out his father wasnt' there"

"He was super bummed."

"I was pissed when I found out he tricked me but I didn't, like, tell at him. He was already upset and he's little."

His mother smiles "My son is turning into a good man," She nods "Glad of that. Yes, I don't blame you for being pissed, but I'm glad you knew it wouldn't do any good to yell at a little kid. Especially a heart broken one. Gerd texted me this morning, and apologized for not keeping everyone more in the loop."

"I told him we would talk when we were out of there. I didn't want to talk, like, where anyone could hear."

"I'd leave it to the Chief first. I suspect she's going to have him apologize to you, or Gerd might" A nod from his mom.

"Yeah, cool."

"Plans for today?" She says

A shrug. "See what Piper is up to?"

"Oh that reminds me." She says "I have some food for you to bring over. California Oranges. I asked the Rover to pick some up as a treat for her."

"Aw, cool. She'll like that."

"I was hoping so" She says "You know, I Like Piper. She's very sweet." A thought "Also, she rocks that hair cut and has a cute butt."

"Ok, that's getting a little weird...." but he grins.

She laughs "Fair point. She is sweet though"

"Yeah. " happily as he finishes the second serving.

"oh, your dad says you'll want the oil changed on your car soon"

"Huh. Ok."

His mother nods "I may need you to babysit Lily this weekend for your father and I"

A put on sigh. "Fine."

"Can I have friends over?"

"Sure, you may have a male friend over. I think female friends might be a bit distracting. I already talked to Nab and she's good with being out of the House then"

"Awwww!!!" Nope, he doesn't like that....

"She has a life"

"I know -that- but why can't Piper or someone come over? Or Nab stay if she wants to?"

"I already told you. I think Female friends too distracting" She says

"Hmmph." Sulking. "You think Lily -wants- me focusing on her? -Sluagh-....."

"You think she wants the sounds of you making out echoing in the house? " A counter point

"Adam it won't kill you to go one night without female companionship"
