Adam straightens from the crouch he'd adopted.

If the kids were thinking it trhough... they might realize that the mother probably has memories stored up too... but it probably got fed by the lesser ticks. A 'share'.. which now ahd no place to go... it might also later occur to them that whoever dreamed these things up really doesn't understand how bugs work! That's hollywood and the Dreaming alike for you - research is more a courtesy than a duty undertaken.

For Adam, it's odd... he is ..unique.. no dreaming memories or past lives that he can access.. at least not yet, but memories flow into his head and for a moment, he understands the intricacies of plumbing.. or at least.. he remembers so many small moments of a life of a plumber

For Sylvi... there's a flash, a keen solid memory from a single past life...

Dagmar and Dirk however? practically faint... as they were close and rather than the memories of old people, they don't just TOUCH past lives... they delve into them like a cliff side dive into a bay of depth

Dagmar staggers back half a step.

Sylvi is lying still on the ground, a listening expression.

Adam blinks and looks around. "You guys ok?"

Dirk looks laid out or at least dazed

"I...I'm...I'll be okay." She gets to her hands and knees. She's still badly burned.

"Shit, Sylvi.... " Adam goes to help her.

Dagmar is standing stock still, staring out

Adam looks at his team mates, from one to another.

"Dirk, you here? Dag?"

Dirk looks up "Who trhe fuck is di.." Then his sneer fades "Yeha.. I'm good .."

"But .. I . I need to sort shit out"

Adam, crouched by Sylvi, looks at Dagmar. "Dag? DAG!"

It's as he focuses on Dagmar that Sylvi gives a strange laugh, and passes out asleep

Yup. Out cold.

"Shit!!"

Adam looks for life signs. Not that he'd know them, really, but.....

She's got a pulse he thinks?

Dagmar is breathing!

"Shit...... " Adam sizes Sylvi up; she's a troll.

(Adam was checking on Sylvi's lifesigns, sorry, but it's good to hear Dag is breathing!)

"Dagmar!" Adam leaves Sylvi long enough to step up to his ex. "Dag???" Looking up into her face.

Her eyes are open, but she does nto seem to SEE him. Or hear him.

"FUCK!" He turns. "Dirk, can you carry one of them? Just to the car?"

"Uh yeah. I .. I can taste sidhe... I know what they taste like now" he gathers Dagmar up..She's the heavier

"Here, keys.... take her to the car and come back for Sylvi and me."

"Don't ORDER me to.." he snaps then catches himself "I.. I will got to sort shit.."

but he takes them and goes

Adam stays to guard Sylvi until Dirk returns.

And helps Dirk get Sylvi to the car when the time comes, and drives all to the Lodge.

Dirk does indeed help... and then lays there "Got ..lives.. lots of lives.. did some crazy shit" he admits

"Ok, well, you enjoy that." Focused on driving.

"Some of it's pretty cool..." He says " I broke a spine with a bare handed punch... guy crawled"

Blink... blink...

Adam might be taking the corners a -little- tight, pushing the speed limit......

Dirk says "I think.. I think trapped a cyclops...brought it before some noble putz for a prize.."

he's rambling again

"Cool." Hard right, straight a few blocks, starting up towards the Park parking lot......

"And I... huh geez.. life is.. " and they see the lodge in sight

Blink. "I'm back?"

Adam screeches in and kills the motor, jumping out. "Sylvi?? Dag? Can you walk???"

"Geez man, gonna kill us" Dirk says as they hit the stop hard, he keeps Sylvi from bouncing forward

"Uh... think so?"
