Mostly what he hears is the sound of machines.. sewing machines up and down up and down...

there's human muttering in this or that language at times.

but it is quiet, quick, as if communiction is frowned on

A whisper to Eden. "Stay alert. If you see a shadow coming, you change, and I'll go up on the ceiling. Folk seldom look up." And he continued in the lead, so that Eden is just out of sight behind him.

she flicker her tongue out, "smells like rambo's locker room"

He sniffs the air, but shrugs if he doesn't pick up on what she's saying.

His senses at smell may actually be a bit weaker than hers. Interesting. Maybe it's the tongue. Sweat. Yes.

and.. gun oiil?

And he nods, tapping his nose rather than speaking aloud. Flattening a bit further against the wall as they progress.

What they see next is... a man walking buy. Son of a bitch has an AK 47? He's hugging an outer walkway above the main work area... the boots clank on the metal path. His eyes are no where near our heroes but ratheri nto the more lit are of workers... over a dozen women and some children in sight working the machines.. textiles being done with varying skill levels.

He hisses, nearly inaudible, at seeing the kids.

And behind him, serpentine eyes narrow

pooka are fun loving creatures. Symon prides himself of being above too much sympathy. This isn't the place where they're needed right?

and yet. .it turns out there is some quality control. As gun bunny guy walks further out, down on the ground, another man, only carrying a baton, pulls out some material ,and curses "I thought hondurans were GOOD at stitching? Space it out better" He yanks the woman's hair with free hand and shovers her face near her lackluster work like a angry pet owner might shove a dog's nose in it's own mess "SPACING"

Symon's lips thin and tighten, and he focuses on the men. Batons. AKs. Counting how many people are in each row at the machines, looking further back to try to extrapolate the number of people total that the building might hold if full. His phone carefully angled from his pocket so that the screen doesn't flash, and he takes pictures with silent finger taps.

"Leave her alone" The accent is heavy, but the english is fine.. another woman , in her thirties, speaks at the man holding her down "She's never used these machines before"

He kenns the folk he can see... maybe no obvious fae, but it can't hurt to check, or see if anything else in the room catches his magical attention.

The baton guy swings at the woman who spoke up, and she catches the baton and glares

There's.. something about her..

And he flicks a glance to Eden. "We should use the distraction." Looking over the woman once more to try to remember her appearance for his report, and slinking out further to see if there are other doors, rooms that should be explored beyond the textile area.

then the big man kicks her, knocks her back, and looks ready to beat the shit out of her. And Symon SEES something ...

there's a scar over her right eye like a crescent moon

"That's the one. We'll have to tell the chief to look for her..." Whispered to Eden as he moves to creep on. A wince as the man moves to strike her... but they're there to see, not interfere...

The pooka averts her eyes for a moment

They do creep on...

"If we could get them a message... " He hesitates. "It would help, if they know to watch for help. Look to my coming, at first light, on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the East...."

That's when the guy with the gun turns.. hearing?

"We got a full count of the girls down there?" Gun Bunny calls down

He freezes - trails his fingers along the wall, checking for dust that he can trace his fingers in to draw up shadows to hide them.... readying a bunk for Creeping shadows.

the good news, this stops the beating.. only one or two strikes in.

Bad news? "Yeah, they're all here..."

And the gun man closes in towards where Symon is

A look around - anything to hide behind, or shadowy corners that can be drawn over like a shroud? If not, he will cling to the wall and slink up to the ceiling itself, hoping that the man doesn't look UP....

That's when the snake slithers past the man's foot...

"SHIT!" The guy points the gun... and nearly trips off the walk way

And Symon, hopefully camoflagued into just a trick of the light, shifts over to give a little SHOVE at the foot still balanced....

The gun man falls... for a moment, Symon worries the asshole's gun might go off and hurt an innocent...but as he lands on a sewing table.. it becomes clear the safety is still on.

A scant hiss towards Eden - then wondering, do snakes even have ears?" But he moves, working to get around a corner or through the nearest doorway - if nothing else, away from the spot where the man fell so that anyone glancing up will see only the empty catwalk.

Eden rejoins him.

There's a door that seems unguarded... no security at all, and not even a lock.. just some 'push here' kind of thing to escape. It's right there in easy view

He takes a step, then stops, a hand out to gesture to Eden as well. "There's the trap. The obvious door." And he looks further, for another way onward.

She sticks out her tongue repeatedly. When he sniffs, he gets it too. Fucking door reeks of ozone. It's not just the fence that's electrified. What jack ass puts this in a factory ? probably a lesson to the ladies. Maybe it's no stronger than a taser? MAYBE...

the main door on the ground floor... it's guard has left it.. could try but there maybe another guy out. Eden cranes her neck and gestures to a manhole cover...

He thinks back to the map of the building. Matching this up with where they have seen in his mind, mentally equating it as though it were laid out on a hex grid... how many more rooms / how much space left unexplored on this dungeon layout?

Quite a few.. they can run now, or get their chance to scope while folks tend to the fallen guy...

but it might be harder to slip out later

Symon hesitates, looking at the manhole - assuming that's a way out... and creeps towards the doorway further in. Just a peek, maybe.

Symon peeks... yeah, there's a break room. Over there? that's a bathroom... over there? A crying woman is getting her shirt back on and being ushed out of an office

and the balor woman smirking at her puts her some sort of ..club or.. sex toy away
