"A satyress, looked like."

"I don't know that one" Gerd says.

Sparrow finds what was left behind. A sleeping bag.

It's threadbare in parts, but in this season probably does the trick

"...ah, Gerd. Look."

She unshoulders her bag and roots through. A few protein bars and a bottle of water are left by the bag.

"Okay.. that looks.. is it just me or is someone on hard times?"

"Probably. Not uncommon."

Gerd says "Well, that's not right. I mean, that was clearly a kithain.. Satyress you said? That's. that's one of ours.. this stuff doesn't happen" A frown "Not in Rivervale. I mean, yes, we have homeless folks, mortals who we try to help... but not kithain. not here"

"It happens more than you think."

Gerd's scowl deepens

"Not here.." A frown "It's not supposed to happen here"

"Well. We won't tell on her."

"Tell on her? We need to ask the others what they know about her... you.. they won't throw her out right?" Startled at the thought

"I don't know."

"But if she feels threatened, she'll run."

"Why would she run, folks just want to.." Gerd stops, as if remembering something, someone. Dagmar might have run.. before then "I need to hug my goofball uncle more often."

"It's... it's hard to explain, Gerd."

"It's right of rescue.. if another kithain is THAT hard up, you over them a place to stay, your spare shirt.. something, anything" Gerd mutters "You don't let them starve"

"I know."

"But... well. The world isn't always how it should be."

"Yeah, that I knew," SHe says "or thought i knew.. but We are supposed to be how we should be."

"Good, yes. Stay that way. But... have you ever worked with a stray cat, or a wounded bird?"

"They are hurting, they are fearful. Pain and fear blind, but they also protect."

"Closest to a wounded animal I remember is.. a lodgemate. " A sigh "Not fair to say but as she likes animals I think she'd forgive me. Took awhile for folks to coax her out. Now she's the bravest non Fiona knight I know"

"So - you know. Patience will help you help her."

"Well, guess I'm going to be dropping food up here now and then" Gerd says

"That's a good start, yeah. Hopefully something nicer than my emergency granola..."

"Hey, granola's good stuff... " Gerd says

She looks about "But this is good flying local. I can see how someone with wings would squat here."

"Oh yes, this place..." A sigh.

"Nice place to stay, sleep under the stars?"

"Ha. You going to bail on us and crash here yourself? " Teasing, but not disapproving " I can't blame you. The lodge is great but.. star canopy, right?"

"Well, I see the appeal."

"Sooo THIS has been an eventful tour" She admits

"Anything you wanted to see or need to?"

"No, I think I'm good!"

"Come on, let's see if we can get a knight's heart ride back to the lodge ... normally I would just flicker flash us back, but this way you learn the way from here to there.. ooo " She eyes Sparrows's wings "Can you fit in a car with the ah.. I don

"I manage. Have you seen my Rabbit?"

"No I..w ait, a volkswagon rabbit? Geez, what did you do, rip the roof off?"

She laughs.

"I scrunch!"

"You'd have to" Gerd says "I mean, you're not short.. by sidhe standards"

Gerd texts

"We're in luck, Eden's working" She nods

"Luck?"

"I mean we've got a ride." She says "There's Adam, it's really his business, and he's ..." A pause "i try not to say anything negative about him. I caught myself doing that. And it's not fair to talk shit about him when he cant' defend himself and he IS getting better... but I like Eden more"

"Gotcha."

Soon they head down stairs... and go out to greet Eden. The snake pooka peeks out "The Moose Elk Buffalo Lodge right?"
