"Bachdion? Yes! Though he's a grump..."

"He's a fetus with hooves" She grins "But I understand what you mean."

"I think he rather enjoys being the grand old man, giver of knowledge, master of his craft...."

"So, obviously, you should surprise him with a visit."

Piper is flipping through pictures on her phone, and offers out to show one to Sparrow - and Gerd, if she peeks over. It is a flat-panel touring van, with - oh, what a display on the side. It's not GOOD, per say, but it is MEMORABLE, a riot of colors and an airbrushed fantasy trope mishmash - is that unicorn holding a guitar? CAN a unicorn hold a guitar?

"I'd LIKE to say that the van looked like this when we got it... but no, this is when your artist gets super high and then decides that NOW is the time to paint the van... and then it was so bad we couldn't stop laughing... and decided to have a new artist add a piece at each stop..."

Gerd DOES peek and she's not ashamed to be open about it

"That's awesome."

"I normally don't see that when not in the dreaming or without pharmacetical aid" Etsie says

Gerd snerks

"Yeah, my friend - and lead guitarist and vocals... named our van the "Tail Waggin'"... A snicker.

"Ha."

"No, van art is awesome. I usually hit up alleys..." She takes out her phone and taps at it before offering it out to Piper. No way is all of this "sanctioned" - it's mostly street art, spray paint and stencils, stolen spots of color in urban squalor.

"Piper and Etsie, as you can tell, are musicians" Gerd says "Etsie's been in the metal scene since. .I guess there was one, and Piper's so good Tove claims she'll out do her soon, and Piper has already represented Rivervale at a County level troubadour trails"

"Nice!"

Piper is busy flicking through, and oohing and aahing. "Did the Super call you out to fill the blah hallways?" Hopeful! "It's a VERY nice place, don't get me wrong, but beige always feels... institutional to me..." a wrinkled nose.

"Caesar, the owner. Gerd kind of hooked me up for a gig." A self-effacing smile.

Gerd looks smug "i've been acting as her agent , yeah"

"You ever been to Mission District? More art on walls there than you can shake a stick at. Every corner, a pop of color. They started running out of buildings, it felt like..."

"That's... San Francisco?"

A nod, and she digs through her phone again. "I gotta have at least one on here..." Flipping more, going back in time in her archived photos... "Here's one that I liked..."

"It's like, folk asked what it meant, but I figure... doesn't it just mean whatever it means to whoever is looking at it?"

"Oooo.." Her feathers fluff. "I love this, it's so pop!"

"Bit tame" Etsie says

"There were a couple others around town, I think from the same artist - Crystal... something or other. She had one with llama headed ladies..." A grin.

"I wonder if she's one of ours?"

Gerd says "I like it.. there's something innocent about it"

"Some of them got defaced a couple times, there was an article in the news. Folk were talking about putting some sort of plexi coating over the wall so that it could be cleaned more easily, but the artist argued that when it's a public space, anyone making their message known is another kind of statement, and she would just do a new piece over it." A shake of her head. "See, I'd have been ticked off myself."

"Some folks are just mellow" Etsie says

"Oh... it's hard, sometimes, when you get tagged over."

"Especially when it's, like, low effort and nasty."

Gerd nods "BUncha creeps"

"Do you play at all?" Still holding the guitar, and gives it a little strum. "Normally Acoustic is my bag... I love the sound of electric, but I gotta be portable."

"A little. If it doesn't involve F-chords..."

"Okay, bar chords, in general."

A laugh. "I should get back to it, though..." a touch reluctantly as she puts the guitar back on the stand, and picks up a basket next to it. "I was on my way to laundry when I heard Etsie noodling."

"Sure, sure, sorry. Nice to meet you, Piper."

"There's a hookup in my closet for a little washer dryer combo, but I just moved in this week and quarters are easier to come by than appliances." A wink.

"Anytime, Kid" Etsie says to PIper

"I'm eighteen, you can't call me a kid any more." She laughs at Etsie, already feeling comfortable with the old goat as though she'd known her for ages.

And a siiigh. "On paper, anyway. I've spent enough time in freeholds to keep my youthful glow, and with my height and build, I'll be carded until I'm 40..." A laugh and she heads out. "See ya Gerd, nice to meet you, um, Lady... Sparrow." Adding that one seems safe, not knowing a title.

"Just Sparrow works!"

Gerd waves "Later, PIper. Oh Tove has that thing you wanted made for that kid"

Etsie laughs "I'd call the Chief kid if I thought i could get away with it. But noted, PIper"

"Thanks! I'll swing by later!" And she waves and clips off towards the laundry room.

"She's a good ki..err piper" Etsie says with a smile once Piper is gone, "Always trying to cheer folks on and a pretty sympathetic ear"

Gerd nods "She's pretty cool. Now, Etsie hope you don't mind but I'm going to show Sparrow around a bit more. Maybe she can do something for the stairwells."

"Stairwells are fun... maybe I could do some kind of Olympian theme... bit of Maxfield Parrish...."
