A sleepy grin, he texts back. Aw, girl, I'm sorry. Want me to kiss it better?

He sits up, more awake. Really?

I'll have to find a full time job, though. 😞 It's something to think about!

Adam stares at his phone hard a second... and then dials Piper.

Like, with a voice call.

There is a delay as she is surprised, almost drops the phone, and then fumbles to answer it. "Bae?"

Nabuni watches this "Ah... Adam.. you might want to think things through"

"Hey." A little breathy. "I just wanted to hear your voice. Are you saying you want ... I mean, if we moved in together... you'd want.... to be exclusive with each other?"

"I didn't think that was your thing, is all."

He nods at Nab, makes a 'hang on' gesture.

"Well..." She pauses a moment, and then offers, "I feel kinda like a cad. Because You've been having adventures and driving around and visiting cool places, and I'm just a little jelly is all. But no, I don't want to reign you in, you're young, I'm young, it's our time to adventure in all sorts of ways..."

"I thought we could adventure together. Sometimes. When you want to."

"And I'll go with you to EarthRunes and Caer Falken if you want to go. Or anywhere. I can talk to Sally Mae about getting you in the ridesharing thing...."

"I'd like that." Her voice warm. "Doing stuff with you. I don't have a car, but I can get work, don't worry about that. I just have to figure out if I want to look into working full time, or staying with this.. kiiinda BS home school business. I mean, Mr. Gardener really tried hard to push me, but then the world exploded and I've been TRYING, really, but it's hard to want to work on it when, you know, everything..."

Nab relazes whew

Her voice a little throaty, "And if I DO get a place, I mean, who's to say you can't come stay with me..."

"I know. Believe me, I know. It's all... I mean what's the point of sch....." he trails off. "Yeah. I'd like that."

"...is everything good for you at home? Things working out okay? I know it was a little rocky there for a bit and then stuff got weird with that dark glamour... but, you're doing okay now? Because if you ever need to get away, you know, I'm game for an adventure any time."

"The 'Rents have backed off, mostly. 'Course I'm trying to show them what they want to see so they -stay- backed off." A chuff of laughter.

A bright giggle. "Smart boy."

"Piper, if it's a choice between you and Zane.... really, it's you." He laughs softly. "Way rather wake up with you. Way rather adventure with you."

"I love Zane, but...." he chuckles.

She laughs! "I didn't know you were trying to decide between cuz and me! But I'm glad I rank above Zane at least. I mean, I definitely have a cuter ass."

"Hell yes." Fervently.

"But, he knows waaaay more magic. I bet he could make you think he was cuter if he tried. Actually, that sounds like a fun experiment..." Teasing, she raises her voice just a touch, "Oh, Zaaaaane..."

"I don't think he could magic himself cuter than you, Piper." Also teasing.

"Serious for a moment though... if things ever are bad? If you need to get away for a few minutes... a few hours, a few days? Call me up. I'll sling my fiddle into a bindle and we'll go on the roads until you feel like coming home, or until we find a place to roam. There's a whole wide wild world outside of Rivervale, as nice as it is here..."

"I know." He breathes. "I know, and I want to see it all!"

"I mean.... right now, with the world all shut down? The Mortal world, that is. It's barely scratched the surface of fae society. Which is a weird political commentary almost, but it is what it is, so why not enjoy it? What better time to go off on an adventure then when the world is turned off at home?"

Zane calls out "Kind of busy, Cousin"

"Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt time with Rosey Palms!" She calls back with a giggle.

Adam laughs softly too.

Then he says "I'm in, Piper! I gotta talk to my parents, though. I mean.... taking off for a night to quote-unquote 'work', yeah... but if I'm going to bounce for a week or whatever?" Reluctant "I have to talk to them."

Her phone held in the crook of her neck, as she lightly strums on her guitar, fingers held down over the strings to mute them to just a soft sound. "On the road again... just can't wait to get on the road again...The life I love is makin' music with my friends... And I can't wait to get on the road again..."

"My name's not Rosie" A female voice

A clatter as she almost drops her instrument in surprise, and Adam heard her laugh!

"I love your voice...." with a grin in his own at her laugh.
