A sniffing near the door but not crossing anything nor opening it

A look at Tove, eyebrows. ("C'mon, let him in.")

A roll of her eyes, then jerk to the door ("Fine but if he thinks I'm going to believei t's Twobit... he needs to stick his nose close to the floor") then she speaks up "Come in, Jaymes. We're almost done"

Jaymes comes in aftre a beat

"mmmm" sniffing ("smells good")

"Not hot."

"Yeah, like I said 'smells good'" he nods

Tove swats him lightly with a laddle

Snerk.

He rubs at it as he must ot show proper deference

"Jaymes, break out the plates. We're singing tonight"

"You and Dagmar are?" He asks

"WE are." She chimes in as she gets the utensils.

"Huh?" ("Huh?")

"ALl three of us are singing" Tove says

"Ah.. I don't know about this" Jaymes grumbles

"It'll be great!"

"Please, dear," His wife entreats "Your daughter and I are looking forward to this."

"Mmph" (Cheating)

He eyes Dagmar to see if she's really wanting this like Tove says

"You don't have to sing solo?" Compromise!

"Okay" He says

Tove kisses his right cheek for that

And soon there's dinner, and the Daily Report - a lot about dogs and horses, very little about Flipbook.

And yes, singing... "Just a city boy..."

"mumble mumble south Detroit"

Not a bad night at all! (And, as promised, Dag joins in with her father)

WHew.. that seems to make him relax...

and yes... he even smiles
