"More like the naughty nurse on halloween... she's a satyr kinian, and her voile looks like that"

“As long as she’s not one of those Silent Hill types.” A shudder, and then she pokes Adam. “Oh, lets stay away from the woods tonight. The lodge is a little too much like a cabin on the lake for Friday the 13th... and Jason loves him some sexy coeds.”

"You should try by the lake if you want some serious 'cha chacha thing.. the lodge itself is more Cabin in the woods" Then a smirk "But who will we sacrifice to safe the world?"

“I call not it. And yeah maybe I mixed metaphors, but you know I hate that scary stuff.” Indeed, he used to tease her about covering her eyes at the “scary” parts in Disney films...

"You free to hang out or whatever?" To Piper.

“Maybe in a group? That way we won’t be the first picked off, or worry about someone calling the house asking if we like scary movies...”

Suddenly Piper YELPS and leaps half up Adam’s side.

A soft, eerie laugh and the flicker of a sinuous black tail disappearing through the vents of a locker. It’s HER day...

“Something t-touched my ankle!”

"Who cares?" Delighted with his hands full of Piper. "I got you, Babe. Safe and sound."

“Ugh!” She examines the ground before carefully setting her hooves down. “Does this school,have rats? I don’t care WHAT Mr. Gardner threatens, I’m not coming here if there’s RATS.”

"Only in the science lab" He says

"I'll carry you if you want." He offers.

“I signed the moral exemption waiver to not have to dissect anything.” Her nose wrinkles up in distaste. A quick kiss for Adam. “My Hero, eh?”

"I think it's the frogs and fetus pigs that get cut up. The rat's a mascot"

"Anytime." He smiles at her with.... wow, a lot of affection. Good thing the boggans are gone.

Down the hallway "ACk. I am not chicken!" Lucia calls out

It takes a moment, but Adam looks away from Piper to the source of the sound.

A confused blink.

Lucia comes out, "Did you see something or someone with one of my feathers come down here?"

"No. Do you need it?"

She shakes her head. “I think there was a rat earlier though. Maybe they should shut this place down. I mean, not to fear monger about the you-know-what, but if we got quarantined? I wouldn’t exactly mind...”

Adam frowns. "I don't want not to be able to see you."

"No no.. I guess I don't.. wait, rats?" She looks around "nasty"

Then a voice hits the PA "Students, we are closing today at 3 ...and will be transitioning to online education methods during the next week. Please prepare for early departure and skip your last period. Remember to have you and your parents check the school website and your emails"

She gives Zane and Adam a wide eyed look. “If I wasn’t mad at Mr. Gardner... I’d want to ask if words really can tempt fate like that.” She squares up and nods to Adam though. “Don’t worry.”

Adam looks up with a face struck with awe. PRAYERS CAN BE ANSWERED!

“We should be proactive and set up a study group at the lodge so that no one falls behind.”

Then he stoops and kisses Piper.

“Or maybe at my plmmmmmmph-!” Cut off my an unexpected, but welcomed kiss!

Speaking of Mr. Gardner, from one class room "Woo, get to go home early!"

Then the PA Speaks anew "Teachers , please stay until the usual time as we will discuss adjustments to your program to meet state requirements for online teaching"

A smirk when he parts from her.

"Suck it, Gardner." Quietly.

“Hey, has anyone seen Timmy? I know his.... folk tend to travel. He’s got a gramma in town though. Someone should check in on her. Though...” a quick nod to Lucia, “I’m sure our resident boggans are on top of things like that? Oh. Or is that kithist? I don’t mean to be!”

"Why are you mad at MR. Gardner?" Lucia says curious and confused
