"Won't that be something?" Already she ponders how to get someone else to handle those lessons

"Pity we couldn't just take horses everywhere..."

"You know, I really wish you could. You'd have a blast "

"Yeah. Rivervale is totally small enough... Star could handle it."

"Fast as she moves, I don't doubt but... let's not risk her encountering banality or the authorities seizing her poor dear"

"I know. I'd still rather ride than drive."

"I mean, I wanna drive, too.."

"of course, and your father will teach you I think" A smile

"I guess. Maybe this summer."

"Why not" she agrees "Time for lessons in driving, and time with the horses both"

Tove eyes the calender on the wall... May.. second half of May

"Maybe you can go riding after..."

"Go to the Horse Island and everything..."

A turn "Yeah? You and me riding side by side eh?"

"Right?" A grin.

"I'd like that, but you'd have to go easier on me. I grew up on an Island, not much intense riding there"

"Hey, I've only been doing this for a year."

"Maybe the Farm, first. Blueberry is the nicest horse."

"mmm that's what everyone tells me." Tove admits

"She is! Very gentle."

"Well, thtat's probably what I'll want then" she says "I really visit the DeBukes more often period"

"We cold go today. It's nice out..." Coaxing. "You can meet Bluebrry..."

"Would you like to meet her?"

"Again, I mean?" A smile

And she offers her hand to go to the foot bridge with her

"She'll like you, you'll see!" And Dag heads off to the farm with her mom.

Zane and Adam are at school...Zane looks NERVOUS

"What's up?" Adam throws a baby carrot at him.

"Dude.." he tries to catch an fumbles it "Do you not know what day it is?"

"Yeah. Friday!!"

"The thirteenth, friday the 13th.. it's bad luck dark mojo time"

"Ppftt."

He lowers his voice "Are kidding me? dude... you're looking at a man with horns, and you don't believe in the power of days?"

"Hey, ok, maybe days have power like that but..." shrug ".... what's the worse that could happen?"

"GAH"

He chokes a bit "Dude.. Don't.."

There's a groan from above

Adam looks up.

The pipe in the ceiling is making odd noises

"Guess maintenance is gonna need to work on the pipes."

Zane backs up "You might want to..."

ANd that's when the piipe bursts... spraying water... possibly not clean water

"THE FUCK!!!!"

The good news is, Adam only gets one arm wet as he moves back. His lunch is floating... but he's fine...save for that one arm...

and some folks, their surprise fading, begin to laugh as the pipe now gushes at an easier rate down on the table.

"Ugghh...." Adam storms off to the nurse.

Zane follows 'You okay? Dude, why did you say that? NEVER say 'what's the worse that could happen' or 'what bad could etc..." he makes a warding like symbol "not on the 13th"

Janitorial staff are already racing forward but they can't really blame kids about this.
