"So they can come by next weekend to watch the rest?"

"I don't see why not," She smiles

The door opens and Jaymes comes in, scratching his chin.

And... ironically enough, saying "hmmmn"

"Hey Dad"

"Hey" Pleased, surprised by something, but pleased.

"How was work, husband o mine?" Tove moves to him.

"Great," he says, again looking perplexed and a shrug nod ("Sales are really up")

"Where's..." He looks around.

Twobit glares at him

A sigh on his part, "I don't know how she knows but she knows"

Dag scoops up the dog. " You should apologize."

"Me or her?" Her father asks

"You."

A brow ("I'm not sure all daughters demand their father sacrifice his dignity on the altar of Critter mollification")

"THIS daughter does."

A sigh, and "Twobit, I am very sorry I didn't think to bring you to the store. Now that I do, maybe I can bring you by when Connor needs to be at school. While Connor is a sweet kid, you are my dog, and ..." Oh well, here goes dignity "The goodest Girl, yes you are."

Twobit's stubby tail revs! Her eyes brighten! He is forgiven. She can't stay mad at her two legger!

"There." Satisfied.

Jaymes takes Twobit ffrom her, and pets, and gets licked in turn.

Tove tries not to giggle

"So, good day?"

"Great day, they sold out. Sally Mae told me they would" He says

"What sold out?"

"Oh, I kept one" he says "I Had thirty..." Baffled as if there is no reason it should have worked. He pulls out a ...stuffed animal dog, not very large, a little beanie one.

It has a bow around it, and a tag attached that says "Buddy's Buddies!"

"Aw."

Tove smiles, "Glad she agreed with me."

"I feel bad what I'm charging for these, even with labor, they are not worth 13 bucks." He says

"But they're cute."

"It just feels a bit..." A frown

"What if you gave Buddy's buddies, like, a discount on coffee?'

"It is not dishonorable," Tove cuts him off, "people buy luxuries all the time, and novelties. THEY decide what something is worth. Trust me, if it's too expensive they won't pay."

Then she nods to their daughter "If you really feel bad, have them present their Buddy's buddy for a discount on coffee"

"Won't they feel silly waving a stuffed animal around?" he says still petting two bit

Dag shrugs. "Just an idea, if you feel guilty."

"I mean, nobody is forcing them to buy them to start with."

He sits twobit on the sofa and rubs her belly

"It's... good money" he admits "I'll think of something to make it a bit more right. Maybe discounts" A nod resolving

"Get busy enough, maybe you could hire more people..."

"I suppose" he nods "Thought about hiring one of the boys around here. "

"You could be home more..."

Tove nods "We'd both like that, well, we'd ALL like that. Perhaps even Odin"

Odin looks down from Yggpurrrasil, "the World Cat Tree', and does not say nay, he doesn't say yes, but he doesn't deny. High praise to even offer hope of the All Cat's approval.
