She moves and whirls, jumping high enough to alarm those that care about her and scraping the ice. They needn't worry. She's a Varich. Patterns are what she does.

If mortals could see her in her true form, her true soul, they would see her light up like a Midnight Sun. She doesn't glide on the ice, she shines over it. She doesn't just dance on the ice ,she makes love to the spirit of winter itself.

The only thing that could make it more perfect, comes the thought as she crouches then unwinds into a spin....

Then she misteps, her first mistake of another wise flawless routine. She recovers... of course, but perfection ? That's lost.

And she purges the notion of love beyond friendship and goes on.

Cold. Distant. And thus? Perfect.
