Shortly after the crazy fae awakenings at Adam's home, the kids are ushered out of the house, and Piper and Adam are on a walk together. The weather is unseasonably warm for December, which doesn't bother the petite satyress in the slightest, though it is still apparently cool enough for her to walk with an arm around Adam, leaning lightly against him as they go.

And Adam, very happily, returns the embrace. He's filled her in on all the changes up to now.

"It probably means global warming... but I still appreciate my toes not freezing off. You wouldn't think hooves COULD get cold, but, brrr."

"Hey... shoes must be tough for you, huh?"

"Thats' why I like the beach. Sand between my toes, and if I leave sandles behind, they're cheap to replace." She grins up at him.

He nods, smiling back. "Well. It does get warm here. And cold is good for cuddling."

"I AM partial to hot chocolate... mmmm, or hot tea with plenty of honey. It's a good thing I inherited a quick metabolism, or I'd weigh 500lbs what with my sweet tooth."

He nods. "B-ball burns it off. I carb load like no body's business."

"I like basketball, but only casual, like outside with friends. Once I was practicing high-speed layups in the gym and my hooves nicked up the court at school. I felt pretty bad about that, but it WAS funny watching the coach try to figure out what-the-eff happened later."

Adam grins. "When the driveway is safe, let's play some."

"Sure! I'm little, but I'm QUICK, damnit. And if cantrips aren't taboo, I can hopscotch a damn fine dunk." Grin!

"Hey, magic's not fair unless we can both do it." But he's smiling.

"Magic is best when it's shared." She agrees, giving him a little squeeze.

"Among other things." Agreeably with a squeeze back.

A sly glance around, and then she raises her free hand, and lightly wiggles her fingers.... tiny motes of light fly free, as though she is flicking specks of dust or droplets of water from her hand. They float around the two, lightly illuminating the area with softly pulsing light - like golden snowflakes without a touch of chill.

Invisible to mortal eyes, the flicker-flies bob lightly around Adam and Piper.

"Coooool...." awed and pleased.

"Much nicer than snowflakes, I'd say..." And she lightly blows on one, sending it bobbing into Adam's face with a giggle.

"Pffft." He blows it back and chuckles.

She catches it on her tongue like a snowflake, then gives Adam a sly smile. "Want a taste?"

"Yeah...." he breathes, and does.

She kisses him lightly, and the motes spin around them for a moment, before drifting off. A feeling of contentment, lightness and sweet joy touches them, and drifts off with the flicker-flies to depart the same to mortals they may pass before fading away.

Adam would deepen the kiss, but the emotional enhancement distracts him and he lifts his head to watch the lights drift away.

"Will they be ok?"

"It's the Jubilee of spells. Just, a little pretty nothing. And if it spreads a wee bit of joy, then it's well spent, right?"She waves a little, watching the last one go. "I'm no sorceress, but I like to dabble with fun things."

"I once talked to a cookie." With pride.

She laughs! "What did it have to say? Did it... butter you up? Speak in flour-y prose?"

"Sweet nothing?" He laughs "Naw, just told me who made it. We wanted to know if I could do it. I only did the once."

"Well, that's more than I've ever done that. I think I'm a little too impatient, I couldn't get the hang of it when I tried to pick up a touch of primal."

"Oohhh.... I think you're pretty primal...." he steals a kiss.

She can't have that, and steals one right back.

He draws her closer for another.

She obliges, leaning in and enoying the gentle closeness.

He sighs when they part. "Thanks for being here."

"Thanks for being here with me." She responds.

"End of winter break is going to suck." He moves her hands to his chest, fingers resting just over his shoulders.

She wrinkles up her nose in a faux grimace. "Well, the sooner we're done with winter, we'll get to spring and Summer - and I won't let you forget that you promised to take me to the beach."

"Hell no. I want to see you in a bikini."

"Hope you don't mind that I don't shave my legs!" She giggles, giving him a little nudge with a hoof. "Because that would just be -weird-."

Adam's eyes spark. "Yeah. I mean, no, I don't mind. "

"It, uh, looks soft."

"If it wasn't so cold out, I'd let you pet me." She says, and then giggles. "Okay, I totally meant that innocently."

"Oh man.... " softly, and he glances around "... you read my mind." Then he grins wickedly.

She elbows him lightly. "Oh, behave. ...for now. And not TOO much."

Adam bends for another kiss.

She leans up and obliges! When she pauses for air, she asks, "Feeling a little better?"

He nods. "I started feeling better when you showed up."

"Well, good. Because that makes me feel good too."

"That's really great to hear." A bright grin. "Uh. You think there's somewhere we could go? Warm? And, uh, private?"
