"See, my idea" Zane says "is take a sample of his blood, use fuddle to make any observing forces thinkg 'my blood' is the same and not satyr... and then see if I can draw whoever out"

"It could work!" he says

"Uhh...." She glances to Adam. "I don't know about that."

"Dude, we're not supposed to be, like, trying to get his attention."

"But we are supposed to be getting the answers and.." Zane says

Rubbing one of her horns as she thinks. "Let's see... Willow Whisper could ask his blood where it came from, I guess... but wouldn't it just say it came from Adam? Umm. You could ask your Mom for your dad's name, and then just try to track him down somehow? With a will-of-the-wisp maybe? I don't know how, but I've seen it done."

"It would be on your birth certificate, unless, you know, she didn't LIKE the guy or had a bad experience and didn't want to list him. Or, uh, if she didn't know who he is."

Adam sighs, looking a little ... ashamed? "Yyeeeah."

"I mean... it's not like I was never curious about it. I looked." He shrugs. "She won't talk about it. And it's never been worth screwing things up at home, you know?"

"I hear you" Zane says

"Maybe it's time to press the issue. I... I'm sorry. I know it can be tough. But this... this is important, right? Especially if your family HERE is in danger now."

Zane is looking nervous about something

"I.... I guess I could ask...." reluctantly.

"Z? Do you know something?"

"No..no " He says

She taps a hoof and looks at him.

"What, man?"

"Zu-zu, spill it." Stern!

"Just saying.. we could enchant her.. but that's risky"

"Who, mom? I thought that was against the rules? And besides, with everything else that's happened today....."

"What I' msaying is, if she met a sidhe, and she was enchanted when she and he were together, the ONLY way she might remember is if...you know..." A swallow

"Siv and Jonas both know a bit of presto-chango. Maybe one of them could turn into, like... if we extrapolated what Adam would look like as a sidhe, and adult? Maybe she would spill a name..." Thoughtful.

"She didn't this morning." He points out reasonably. "And I was Sidhe this morning."

"But did you ask?"

"Noooo....."

"Hi. Ah.. I could solve this so easy" Nabuni says "Enchant her, access her memories, and maybe keep her from bolting in a panic "

A snap of her fingers. "There we go. Easy peasy. I knew I liked you."

"Yeah but, Adam is shy about me riding inside people... it's... pretty much possessioN? Well ,mroe like PASSENGER session"

"Yeah?" Nab has his attention.

"Oh. Well...... I mean, consent, right?"

"It doesn't hurt her, does it? And if this will help protect everyone..." Sensible.

"How about I possess her then ask her if it's okay?" Nab says

Zane blinks "SOmething abit reverse about that, but I also don't see HOW she can ask without breaking the escheat so.."

"Yeah. What do they call it, Catch-22?"

She doesn't seem to notice it, or pretends not to, ignoring the distraction. "Adam, it's your mom... and I don't want to cross any boundaries. But if she doesn't want to share the info, we gotta find a way to find out. If we had a sidhe, they could TELL her to spill it... but the only one I know is Nadeen, and,uh. Has anyone told HER about this, yet?"

Adam gives Zane a slow look. "Uh. No. And we arent' going to, ok?"

"Piper, promise you'll keep this to yourself?"

"Nadeen does not get told" Zane says a bit miserable

"It doesn't break the Escheat if they don't remember it." Again, not pressing, but just representing the information as a sensible option.

She nods to Adam. "Of course."

"Thanks, Piper." He pats Zane's shoulder, comfortingly.

"Thanks"

Nabuni says "So...I can dive into a human woman? It's been so looong" Hopeful

"Jeeze, guys..... I just don't know." He puts his head in his hands.

"Nab, I'd give you just about anything right now but...."

She looks thoughtful. "Maybe... if we could encourage her to want to talk about it..."

"I know I know I just.. I really DO think , no I KNOW I could learn so much"

Zane says "Encourage her to want? Gift of Pan is a bit more open ended than that for most of..." Then he looks at Piper "YOu could maybe bring up nostalgia? I'm not that..precise?"

"Zane, I really don't think the Gift would be such a good idea. Did you notice she hasn't been up here yet? Pretty sure she and dad are in their room."
