He puts the certificate in his pocket.

She looks at him for a moment as if trying to read his mind and failing.

He pokes at a knot.

"Okay. Let me know if you need anything else" Then she stops "And we'll try not to let your sister get enchanted too often. The lodge would disapprove"

"Can I get a box?"

"Sure. " She heads off to get a box.

The euphoria of Nab's possession might be fighting some resistence?

A bit. Nab's influence is great but.... like he did it for a reward? S'not why.

He pokes a knot.

She returns with the box "Here you go." A curious look

"Thanks." He boxes up the knots, a final drink of Coke, and he puts cash down, plus tip.

The amount isn't much given what he ordered. "Have a nice day"

"Thanks." Adam takes the knots and heads home.

Home he goes.

He drives, then eventually thinks You good, Nab?

A familiar form walking down the sidewalk ahead. A bounce to her step, and she actually does a little spin, then keeps on - apparently boppin' to some tunes in her headset.

Adam notices.

"Hey! Piper!" He waves.

Adam, if anything, seems a bit full of energy, power and... yeah, sex appeal right now.

She doesn't hear him at first, but after another call or maybe a honk, she turns in surprise, then grins when she recognizes Adam. Trotting over with her headphones dropped to give off just a tinny echo around her neck as she leans in the window. "Hey stranger!"

"Hey! Get in." He pops the lock. "Where're you heading?"

"Just going for a walk, to be honest. Felt like some tunes without explaining to Zane's sis about why it's okay for some words to be in songs but NOT used in real life." A somewhat sheepish grin. "So I like hiphop, eh?"

"Yeah, that's cool. Ok, didn't meant to, like close you in." A charming smile.

_Mmm I like her smile. _

She clicks off her MP3 player and chuckles. "Not at all! I thought you learned the other day, you can't catch me. Unless I let you."

A cocky grin. "Well, a guy can hope....."

"So where are you... I guess we... headed? " She sniffs the air. "And what smells amazing?"

"I KNOW it's not me, I was just out jogging."

"Garlic? Uh, sorry, garlic knots. Want some?" He pops the door open so she can sit and puts the car in park.

"You know, you smell pretty good for someone jogging....." A grin.

She hops in. "Heck yeah! I'm still thinking over whether I want to see about a part-time job at Lucia's place. I could use the cash, but not the pounds I'd get as they try to butter me up!"

"All yours!" He hands the box over. "Where to?"

She already has half a garlic knot in her mouth but shamelessly just waves him off as she can chew and swallow. "MmmmMMM! Now that's good stuff. Oh, I dunno. Round this time back home, I'd be heading to the beach. Even when it's too cold out, you can walk along the shore and sometimes see the selkies dance, if you're lucky. What's there to do here?" Other than try not to think about the dragon coming to destroy everything...

"Uh, the lake's kinda cold right now. I think. I haven't been here that long either. Uh... "

"We could drive up and see how it feels?"
