Brekke returns the salute with a serious nod. Then she says, "Come...let us bring this back to the Lodge. I must tell the Mountain of this gift."

"Indubitedly. Do you think this means Siv.. ah.. they will return soon?"

A slight raised brow, then a nod. "I think so, yes. You wish to see her, even though she has railed against you?" Brekke starts walking back as she speaks.

"I merely wondered" something of a lie. "But I am glad it seems she is most likely triumphant" True

"Mm. I wish to hear the story of their journey, and see the bane which they bring with them."

"Yes, she.. THEY are all remarkably courageous." He says

Another bemused glance at the boy, but she doesn't make any other comment right away.

"Jonas, do you feel you are being well-supported here? Does Rivervale provide what you seek from it?"

"In fact, I have found gainful employment in the mortal side of things. Mrs. Lee endeavoured to assist me. I'll be aiding her in check ups and other matters."

"Ah! That is excellent. She needs assistance; we rely on her for a great deal, but even she can only do so much."

"Indeed. I think the fevered delay to her endeavors has her feeling almost distressed with apology. I explained to her the absolute lack of control of the situation on her part and... well, it was almost a very short hire" Confusion

"Hm. Telling a boggan that any domestic situation cannot be controlled is unwise. I am glad you are taking on this work, Jonas. You find it pleasant?"

"I find it necessary and of service to the community, so .. yes." He says

Brekke nods. "Doing work of worth is always satisfactory, in my experience."

"the world gifts us with wonders, making sure where our footsteps pass is the better for it ? That's the first duty." Quite somber and he opens the door to the lodge. "I know you must seek out the mountain and put that awaY. If you allow, I'll stay near the fire should anyone need thane work"

"You are welcome. Take refreshment, as you wish it." A somber nod to the boy, and she heads upstairs in search of Frank.

The leaves of the branch glimmer warmly as she goes.

Jonas sits down and looks at the fire, then facepalms, "Did I just try to obfuscate somewhat with a Gwydion? imbecile." a huff

He frowns at the flames. It is true. For some reason, that girl has occupied his thoughts. He says 'they' but it's her face he imagines.

He's not sure why.

Only the holder can sense the amusement from the flames. The young man? Clueless.
