Jaymes rises "Going to get drinks from the fridge. Want something?"

Siv says "Any sort of soda"

"Dr. Pepper?"

He grunts and goes in.

"Did I offend Symon in some fashion?" Jonas asks them both

Shrug.

Siv looks at Jonas "You use such big words folks think you're talking over them. "

"That is not why my vocabulary is extended" He says

"AND you're horning in on his life." Siv says.

"I've gainful employment assisting his step mother," Jonas looks confused "How is that horning in?"

"Sluagh are very protective of their territory, and you're new and unknown."

"I try to avoid sterotypes about kiths" He frowns "I hadn't realized in this case his nature would be germane to the situation."

"Well, kiths aren't like people. I mean, dreams really are different, right?"

"The Damn Germans have nothing to do with it" Siv says "You're in her life, so you're in his life. And he's gone for what a little while and you're doing odd jobs that otherwise HE might do?"

"Damn Germans?" He looks positively alarmed.

"JOKE... but you see? THAT part you worry about? " Siv rolls her eyes " Dagmar's right. You've butted in his turf."

"You are.. both correct" Jonas says "How can I reconcile with Symon?"

"Respect that Ann Marie is his family?" She hazards.

"I was unaware I'd given the impression I didn't" He frowns.

"Well.." shrug.

"Jonas, you're brilliant and you clearly care, but you get so focused on getting the job done you steam roll to the goal" Siv says

Jonas ponders then looks at Siv, "I.. " and for once he's silent.

Just in time for Jaymes to come back with sodas. He hands Dagmar a Dr. PEpper

"Thanks." She takes it with her free hand. Apparently, she is NOT letting go of that Lance.

"Welcome" Jaymes sits next to her after other drinks are served.

"Pardon me." Jonas says, rises, and heads out.

Siv winces.

A nod to Jonas.

Siv frowns "Great. Now I feel bad..he's..he's trouble"

Later, at home...

"Hey. Was on quest."

A long pause.

*bzzt* Yeah, heard from Zane. Cool. Back?

bbz "Yeah. Wanna come over?"

"Nah, got work. Welcome back."

bzzt "Ok. Made it back in time for Thing! Excited?"

"Thing?"

bzzt "Teaneck"

*bzzt* Oh, yeah! Sure. Looking forward to it.

bzzt 👍

*bzzt* See you there.
