He leads them in with practice, skirting to the side as a tiny korean lady shoving a cart with 50lb rice bags barrels past. "Watch out, they have sales on Sunday so it gets crazy."

"Sam, you want some bean buns?" GRINNING.

"Uh... well, I might like to try them, sure."

"I'll take the buns, Symon."

A suspicious glance at that shit-eating grin, but he lets it slide, not quite getting the jest if there was one there. "Oh, look - these are asweome... " Gesturing to honey-butter flavored chicken chips... "These are japanese but they're okay if you're not a spice wuss." Wasabi peas. "Don't go down the fish aisle, it's... pungent." He doesn't seem bothered.

"Ah, the buns are here!" Filling up his basket.

Zane sniffs the air "Wow. WOnder if mom would like any of this stuff... How's things at home, Symon?"

"I'm not... oh, bet Tove would like them!" She takes a bag of spicy peas.

And suddenly it's a shopping trip period as Zane picks some 'cool asian food' for his family

Adam snags the chicken chips.

"Ann Marie is feeling a bit better - Sylvi's mom came by and worked her magic. It doesn't fully cure being sick, but it helped. Umm...." Looking over things, and grabbing some 'Shrimp Crisps' for himself. Then he frowns, looking at another aisle, and puts the crisps back, and grabs a container of crystalized ginger instead.

Zane says "I heard she might be sick, I didn't know it ..needed Mrs. Davidson" Concern now and sympathies "Sorry, man. "

"I'm glad she's doing better."

Adam listens, unfamiliar with the lady in question, but....

"Don't worry about it. She's tough. Hey, Zane - do you got a Fuddle?"

"He can play the guitar, I know that...." Adam examines something dried in a jar.

"That's monkey ears." He remarks to Adam, as the jar only has Korean writing on it.

"Cooool......."

"Oh sure I can fuddle..name it"

He pulls out his student ID, and hands it to Zane. "Make me 21 for checkout? I promise I won't abuse it." He shows Zane his latest conquest, a bottle of red-pepper soju. "It's like, chicken soup for Americans - traditional cold remedy. The ajummas here don't really care if we drink, but since I brought gringos they'll card me."

"We could hang back....?"

"If you're not going to abuse it, what's the point?" he grins, then rubs his hands over it "Ace of Spades, Queen of Clubs.. mortal eyes now go flub"

And glamour flows, and he hands it over "Probably won't last a full hour"

He looks over the card to make sure that Zane isn't pulling a prank on him. "You all ready to head out? I don't want to cut too far into your horse time, with Pennons coming up."

"You want anything else?" asking Sam quietly.

"I got Tove presents.. oh, hey, weird fruit!" She snags some for Snow.

Adam grins.

Card says 21

Satisfied, he heads to the checkout - Ginger, enough bean buns for the goblin and a few extra, some tea, and red pepper soju... eyes watching the total, and then reluctantly pulling out the bill that was tucked into the back of the wallet, adding up to cover the total.

Adam is in line with his couple items, behind Sam.

And they are rung throuhg quickly. Zane gets behind Adam.

Back to Sam, he remarks, "No, you don't want that one. Try that instead -" Pointing to the asian pears. "Unless you want hot onion garbage fruit. Which I do. But you probably don't."

"It's for the monkey... but okay." Pears it is!

Adam gets Sam back in line and pays for their purchases.

Once through the line, Symon hands out buns for everyone to try. Is this a trick? They look like fish, but smell sweet.

Sam has money! She pays!

"Oh, these are cute!"

Adam sighs and doesn't argue.

"Cool." Zane says "Never seen these before." He tries his right away

Adam does too.

They are sweet, and rich! A dark red filling that is creamy and sticky, tasting slightly like chocolate, but not quite - a taste of it's own. The buns are flakey and crisp, fresh baked.

"Ok, these are weird. Not bad, but weird. Good weird."

Symon does not eat one, but seems glad to see everyone enjoying them.

Adam is chewing, but Sam's words make him smile.

"Yeah, Sam's got it..good weird" Zane nods "Thanks, Symon. I bet my mom would like this sort of thing. She's a foodie...when she 's not burning calories in order to be afoodie"

"I'll let Ann Marie know, she loves grocery shopping, especially with a friend. But then she wants to go up and down EVERY aisle and compare recipes."

"Jeez, that must take forever."

"I mean, maybe at the comic store.... but groceries?"

"Every. Single. Aisle. Every time! I mean, she's so organized, you'd think, easy peasy, in and out? But no! Dirk likes to go sometimes even though it takes forever, because he gets to pick out the menu. Although if it was up to him, the trip would start and end at the meat counter."

"I mean, he eats everything, so why let him pick?"

"I guess even he has favs" Zane says
